Had a nice ride on the BMW today. River Road north from Yardley, PA to breakfast in Frenchtown, NJ. County 519 up to Blairstown and a stop at the local airport to see some gliders and small planes in action. Back south on County 521, 519 and NJ 31 thru Flemington and Trenton, about 200 miles. Home in time to watch the Eagles get spanked by the Broncos.

We saw 2 R3Ts on the road, the first turned north on NJ 29 in Frenchtown a little before 10 am. The second was turning north on NJ 31 from County 579 near Harbourtown about 3:45 this afternoon. Anybody here?

Stopped over at Cherry Hill Motorsports today and ordered the Ignition Module and a spare starter (conversion) relay. Gunther (service) and Josh (parts) were very helpful, hopefully have everything by the end of the week.

BTW - Triumph has a kit to convert ignition, gas cap and seat lock all to the same key at a cost of $402. I opted to just get the ignition, saving about $220, so I'll be carrying 2 keys.

Now I have to order the EB and Garmin power line so I can put it all back together at the same time.

Welcome!!!! Sounds like your bringing some wisdom to the scene.........dig the avatar!
Enjoy the site.....

Picked up and re-wired the ignition module on Wednesday. Bike fired right up.

Installed the MotoLights today, along with the GPS power and Battery Tender charging wire. Tomorrow I'll secure the wiring and aim the lights properly. Man, those 55 watt bulbs are BRIGHT. Will post a pic tomorrow.

Once the EB relay comes in, I'll be ready to button it all up and get back on the road. Woo Hoo !!!

EB Kit arrived this afternoon, very fast shipping! I've been back over Benny's video tutorial, and hope to do the install tomorrow.

After reviewing the printed instructions and Benny's YouTube install tutorial several times, I was able to complete the install Tuesday and Wednesday after work. After getting all the wires secured, testing at every step, the left side low beam is out. Hopefully, it is just a bulb failure, will pick one up on the way home today. Bike is back together and ready to ride!

Now if I can just get the rain to stop ....

One additional question, please? Are the Parking Lights in the headlamp "cups" supposed to be on at the same time as the headlights?

Replaced the H4 on the left side, and all is good!

The sun is out, and I should be able to take it for a test ride and hopefully get some clear pictures today.

Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions! You guys are great!

Here's the Beast before a very successful test ride this afternoon.

How'd you like to see this filling up your rear view mirror?

And a couple with the stablemate.

Looking forward to many happy miles.

Glad you got it sorted. I do quite like the R1200, I guess mainly because they were "out there" in their day, but that front guard sure dates it.

The front fender is a reproduction of a Wudo aftermarket part, purchased from Bob's BMW in Maryland in 2003. Gives a sort of nostalgic / retro look, doesn't it?
