Living Legend
I came from a sport bike in which I could blip the throttle real fast off idle and it would rev with no lag or problems. Not with my Roadster. I will get a back fire through the throttle bodies if I blip the throttle.... sometimes.... not all of the time. I asked a Triumph tech at the dealership what is the problem with the back fire through the throttle bodies? He told me "These bikes just don't like the throttle to be blipped real fast.... nothing wrong." So I assume that these bikes aren't designed for "race" purposes.
I have played around with different tunes using TuneECU and have found the richer tunes will not allow decel popping than leaner tunes. I still get a very slight decel pop but it's mainly in third gear going down a slope. Like in the mountains going down hill. I run 87 octane all of the time
