Where are you based in the UK - had mine tuned on a Dyno at TTS Performance at silverstone. They use TuneECU without needing anything else

Got a toy run to a local hospital on 21st Dec and Santa's on a bike on 14th to a local hospice - still popular in UK but very regional

    brake piston removal

In the absence of the above I used some hard plastic packaging to protect the pistons edges and then some adjustable pliers to grip and with the gentlest of force twisted them out! - maybe not recommended but it worked

05 RIII Classic tachometer won't work...

Found the solution - fuse 3 for the heated grips - even though I don't have them fitted the fuse supplies power to the clocks. Found the answer on another thread here where someone had the trips re seting on every switch off - this is the same problem. Lesson (re)learnt - check the simple things...

    T Bars question

Question for those with 1.5" T Bars fitted - If you have the fuel gauge or clock how did you go about re-mounting them, and also the combined switch for the heated grips/fog light. I have a couple of ideas but suspect someone has already had a much better solution Photos would be much appreciated!

New Avon Cobra Chrome - any good

Sorry, had them fitted a couple of weeks ago but only been out on them for a quick scrub in due to other maintenance issues. Seem to be very stable and progressive into turns, smoother than before but then my back tyre had squared off quite a bit.

New Avon Cobra Chrome - any good

Mine are off being fitted at the moment but the weather here means I'm not likely to get out on them for a few more weeks

New Avon Cobra Chrome - any good

Getting a set delivered in the next few days, surprisingly cheaper here than a standard pair of Cobras. Hope the weather in the UK picks up to get out and use them, I don't ride in sub zero weather or anything close to it, too many episodes when I was younger of ending up on my arse sat in the...

The New Rocket 3 is on Avons....check this out...

Just ordered a pair of Cobra Chrome here in the UK - £272 delivered (cheaper than my normal suppliers for standard Cobras), once I find someone willing to fit them I'll let you know how they go, ran on 2 sets of cobras previously, Bridgestone/cobra combo before that

Tourer sits too high for my short legs.

Try Hagon Nitro shocks they can build to your specification incl height but as others say check clearances first and drop the front end by sliding the forks up through the yokes to keep the geometry.

    front brakes..

I had the same issue for a while, tied the lever back overnight which fixed it for an hour or so - decided to try stripping the calipers and fitting new seals - cured instantly, lever is now much firmer, best £50 I ever spent on brakes. Not a difficult job as long as you're careful, took about 2...

    Ramair or Standard....?

I would go with the ramair just to get rid of the terrible plumbing under the tank, it makes access to plugs and wiring so much easier and is a useful start for making further changes. If the extra noise is not to your liking there is a method to line the bearclaw with dynamat - cheap and easy...

    Weird speedometer issue

I had a speedo unit go and was lucky to find a set for £250 (after buying another duff set and having to get my money back). My speedo would work randomly or not at all and once they're gone there's no fixing them apparently - there are some nice aftermarket set-ups out there that I would...
