    Rocket wont start ???

Good plan..I have a little device/tester that shows the draw down voltage when starting. It uses LEDs and the lowest voltage LED stays lit to show the voltage. It shouldn't go below 9 volts when cranking according to my tester. If it does, things are questionable.

    Change your crush washers

Always use new crush washers! Why cut corners for things that cheap. You can buy them on Amazon and they work fine. They are not quite as thick as the Triump aluminum stock washers, but they still crush and seal just fine. I have both aluminum and copper. I used copper on the final drive...

    Rocket wont start ???

OMG...5 years?!! Replace it! Mines goes to recycling after 2-3 just on principle. Some people disagree, but it's just sickening in when it won't start and it boils down to the battery. My batteries are always on a maintainer if they are going to be setting for more than a few days. I don't...

    Rocket wont start ???

I would not assume the battery is ok. I've read about a lot of starting issues on the forum down through the years and 90% of the time it comes down to the battery or the connections. The lights may look good, but it's the ECU not having enough voltage. They are fussy!

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

I agree, no issues from what I've noticed. I always use Triumph oil in my newer GT. I use to use Castrol 4T in my R3T, but the dealer said not. Since it is still under warranty, I don't have an issue with that. I worry about friction modifiers as well with different oils. With all that...

Lowers for my GT...My latest project

Wow...those babies are super sized. Good job though! There is always the battle between form and function and if it works for you I say...go for it. If I wasn't focused on form I would probably make mine bigger, but I think there may be a point of diminishing return as well. I only have...

Lowers for my GT...My latest project

I considered that, but I would be half way home if I just cut the plastic. Having made bigger lowers and windshield wind deflectors for my 2015 R3T, I was pretty sure I knew what size and design I wanted to make things look good. I think I'm there without mucking up the looks of my bike.:D

Lowers for my GT...My latest project

I looked at those. Sadly, the size just isn't going to cut it when it come to going around the fork tubes. 58mm is what I measured the tubes at and that translates to 2.28346 inches. I couldn't make the first 58mm clamps that I bought work on the tubes without serious modifications and the...

Lowers for my GT...My latest project

Yes, I have taken them out for a test ride. I do believe they make a difference, but it is always hard to tell just how much without taking them off and on to test. My slightly larger version should be the best test. It's a bit cool today and not t-shirt weather, so I cannot speak...

Lowers for my GT...My latest project

I thought I would do a fresh post with the lowers mounted. As I've mentioned before, I cut these lower out of some of the plastic I had on hand and the plastic was not big enough to cut them full length and size. They will be an inch longer and the cutaways for the turn signals will be smaller...

Lowers for my GT...My latest project

I understand...there's always the snail mail option if you change your mind. You would have to PM me with an address. Personally, I don't know if I would go much beyond 9 inches tall as thing might start getting ugly looking beyond that. 🤣

Lowers for my GT...My latest project

I have created two really nice templates that I would be happy to share. One is the size of what I currently posted and the other is about a inch longer. I plan to have the longer ones custom cut from a pdf file which is what the company uses to laser cut the plastic. It is around 9 inches...

Lowers for my GT...My latest project

I'll post more info when I'm done. They seem to be helping with the wind coming up around under the handlebar around the tank. I took the paper off and they really look nice. They blend in well.

Lowers for my GT...My latest project

Looks good. It's never an easy job on doing homemade modifications. The Powerbronze hand guards work well for air flow over the tops of your hands. With my setup, I notice most of the airflow coming up from underneath the bars. I don't expect miracles, but any reduction would be nice.

Lowers for my GT...My latest project

I'll post an update with pictures when I'm finished with everything mounted. Still waiting on stuff and I'm in the prototype stage for another week or two.

Lowers for my GT...My latest project

They are made by PowerBronze in the UK. I mounted mine using the original bar ends, but they I do supply all the stuff you need. https://www.powerbronze.com/triumph-rocket-3-r-20-21-rocket-3-gt-20-21-380-t110.html

Nope, it won't happen. It's a very solid setup and secondly they will be mounted forward and in front of the turn signals not behind. Clearance is not an issue.

Lowers for my GT...My latest project

Remember me, the guy who was always making something for his R3T. I made and sold a lot of those wind deflectors that fit on your windshield among other things. Well, I've decided to get at it with my new R3GT. I have a Madstad windshield on my bike, but I'm getting a lot of airflow coming up...

    TuneECU be a fickle *****!!

I would say I covered all those bases. The OBDLink MX+ pairs with my phone and is fully functional with its app. I registered it and also did a firmware update on it as well. I made sure I didn't have any other Bluetooth devices nearby interfering with the connection as well. I double...

    TuneECU be a fickle *****!!

So are you able to link your TuneECU to your Link and bike. Here is a partial comment that I read about certain issues and maybe a work around with higher versions. He wrote... To prove this, I ran a test on one of my Android 14 devices that has never had TuneECU installed on it. I...
