    RAA 9--"GETTIN HIGH" PRE-RIDE June 22, 23 2014

I just saw this, been away on a bike/camp trip for last couple days. 1st he told me that he was getting parts and diy. ... Then he said it was going to the dealer. Still haven't heard exactly what the problem was from.

    Rocket Crash...

A camera can be a dangerous thing. Saturday, in WV I see an oncoming rider with a helmet mounted GoPro. He's looking like he wants to ask something, I slow down and he does a u-turn and is riding next to me, trying to talk. I think he wants something so I signal that I'll pull over, so we...

[Aug 1, 2015] RAA X (Rockets Across America)

I agree that it is impractical to have a "rolling raa" we need a home base for the event. BUT We need to travel to the event...and those that like the idea of a "rolling raa" could take maybe 3days of twisties, on the way. This would be pretty easy if the destination was WV...the pre-ride...

Maggie Valley less congested than Cherokee....but WV is less congested than NC, too.

What speed would you cruise at if unrestricted limit

That straight stretch that crosses the Utah salt flats on I-80 is good at 105 mph...I think it is posted @ 85 mph now but I passed several oncoming cops that never looked twice @ me. If I am not in a hurry and my main goal is economy, then I try and keep the rev's @ or just under, if...

    GoPro mounting

http://www.killershot.com/gopro-roll-bar-mount/ I found one of these at Wal-Mart in Montrose. It fits the Roadster forks if you open almost all the way. It also fits handlebars. It fits all 3 of my bikes & my bicycle too. Forks handlebars, crash bars....easy on & off and solid

Err..thanks, I think? To avoid copyrighted problems, my selection of background music come off the "free" as in no fees and....we'll just saying, I wish I could use some of my favorites but I have had things taken off internet because of copyright complaints, adding "real " music.:ninja:

This one I have mixed feelings about...It was hyped by Steve (1olbull) as one of his most favorites but most of it was rather boring. (Maybe we weren't going fast enough ) Also we lost 3 bikes that we started with before we got to the good part. Fred's drive bearing went out...

Yamaha rider - considering a new Rocket III - would like advice

If I went to a biker bar, Harley dudes would scoff at the S10. They would secretly admire the Roadster (but not let on, of course.);)

Yamaha rider - considering a new Rocket III - would like advice

If I could clone myself and race one of me against the other in the paved twisties, the S10 would win. On dirt, the R3 would be creeping along in the far distant past, while the S10 frolics along. On high speed multilane highways, I would be able to keep up with the Rocket but be working...

Yamaha rider - considering a new Rocket III - would like advice

I can do everything that I can do on my Rocket, on my S10 (in most cases better, easier & cheaper). I can not do everything that I can do on my S10, on my Rocket. The S10 is versatile. The Rocket is limited. Neither the S10 or Rocket can take the dog along like the sidehack.

Yamaha rider - considering a new Rocket III - would like advice

If the only tool you have is a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail... If I only had the R3, then that's all I would ride. I am about the same weight as Evil Mitch. 165 pounds, 5 foot 10 inches. The R3 is not big for me it's just fine. I just got back from a 12 day trip to Colorado...

Yamaha rider - considering a new Rocket III - would like advice

I've noticed that a lot of large people fit on the R3 well. Whereas, they look like a circus bear riding a tricycle on anything less massive. One thing's for sure...once you are used to riding a Rocket, almost anything else seems small. And that has been a very good thing for me. When I had a...

720 either wide or super-wide The ones that show the headlight/fender or topcase are 720 super-wide. The others 720 wide. Much of the detail is lost in processing & uploading. Just for experimentation I am now uploading a full 720 high definition to YouTube, climbing back up the grade from...

I am not sure if the camera is adjusting focus or it's processing that causes loss of clarity. The raw video is VERY high-def & clear but I have to compromise some in the process of downloading, editing and uploading to you tube. Esecially for the longer ones. Rt 141 part 1 took almost 6 hrs...

But it did give me the chance to learn how to crop a vid and get a closer view...but you loose clarity in the process. I still can't find the Steel/ROCKETHEAD double pass...maybe camera shut off? I'll look more when get time. BTW, You may need some air shocks on your front forks!! ;)
