    quick update, everything worked out this afternoon. i was able to get the brackets on both sides, the bolt wasnt canted as much as i thought. and the moral of this story is not to post when frustrated and half(maybe not even that much) awake.

    the bigger bolt is on the front, it is defiantly canted upward(i have thought about a few wayst to try and bend it down) but ill give the folks at easy bracket a shout. I cant be the first person to have this problem. thanks for the sugestion.

    well i have had my roadster for about 6 weeks now, and just got my saddle bags in with the easy brackets that i ordered. everything looks great but.... the front bolt for one of the brackets evedently isnt straight its canted slightly upwards. Im thinking of pulling the stuff off the fender...
