  1. Delayed by "Artist"?

:) I must have the only collision paint guy that works steady and cranks out work...I took him in a bike load of parts this winter and he put them to the head of the line and had all custom paint done for tank..side covers..front fairing..and tailpiece done within 2.5 weeks...I couldn't get...
  2. Why use a tuneboy????/

:) I put in TB about 15k ago and I have to say for me it has been a good thing (TORS adn Unis)...I had my neighbor come over with his lap top and took the TB disc and had the program installed in a few minutes...I have never monkeyed with it or reopened it since ...I probably just got lucky on...
  3. Barnett Clutch

:) My mechanic said that the Barnett springs were about 10% heavier than the Triumphs and admitted the stockers weren't heavy enough over the long haul..
  4. Progressive Shocks

:) I went from the stock shocks to the 12" Progressives...these are the standard version and I find they ride quite hard...I weigh 195# all geared up and have tried several settings on the shocks..I wonder if I made a mistake in going with the lower 12" shocks and should have stuck with 12.5"...
  5. Barnett Clutch

 Got me on this one..I have a new Barnett clutch in at my dealer's waiting for me to get my Rocket there and I've never heard of this phenomenon...As long as they have the inner workings properly assembled I don't see how the clutch actuation lever would suddenly bind....
  6. Thoughts on clutch failures

:) Hey busajack...yes I had my dealer order it because the barnett website said it had to be done through a dealer..they got me a better price as well...

:) Sharp looking setup Hombre...this is the first pic I've seen with the Diablo and CF rim...How does the front handle (feel) with the new rim and tire? Notice any difference in the rear?
  11. My butt is sore

:) Congrats on the ride MM..I remember leaning on that same landmark when I was in the rotisserie South a few years ago with my Florida pals....I had a Russell Day-Long built for myself and pillion last year and they work just like they say...You can ride all day and not notice you're on a...
  12. Made by the Gods

:) Personally I think a great Sunday morning is Bible Study at 9am and then Church Service at 10am...at 11:30 roll out my Rocket and go exploring for another day...That order works for me..and I'm a big fan of milk too having been a dairy farmer for 30 years..;)
  13. Fog Light question

:) What a great thread...we go from fog lights...to exporting deer...hunting semi wild pigs with our Winchesters...to a nice rundown of bikes driven...I think you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned choosing a bike with "character"...This was what I too was looking for after driving for...
  14. Lowest Price on Rocket III

:) You should be able to get a deal like TriRocket just mentioned...they don't want 06's on the floor as fall is setting in....should be a good time for you to do some dealing and offering "to help" the dealer out with his inventory situation....It's just pays to do business with a "good" local...
  15. Sheepskin....

:) Alaskan sheepskins are great too...I alternate that with an Air Hawk from Davo down under
  16. Considering an R3? Whats accel like?

:) Hi Jim...one thing you don't have to worry about a Rocket being and that is sluggish..no where in the powerband is it sluggish...You will ride around with a stupid grin on your face most of the time and enjoy passing anything whenever you want to...No issues with my 2005 either at 7500 miles

  18. this is so not good

:) I have the same story as Screwloose...my closest dealer is 40 miles but I choose to drive to a dedicated Triumph dealer 109 miles away who knows and calls me by my name and appreciates my business....I have supported him a ton ...even to the tune of buying his big Triumph neon clock right off...
  19. Possible Rocket purchase

:) The best money for a motorsports dealer to make is in the clothing and accessories lines they offer...They don't tend to make much on the vehicles especially if they've been paying any floor planning on them ...The more after the sale trips you make to the dealer the more they have an...

:) I could definitely use some advice on how to slowly stop the big Rocket when going downhill to the end of deep gravel/stone driveway having to stop for main road traffic...Any advice on rear or front brake?
