  1. Triumph H2 protec jacket/pants

I have the jacket but haven't used it yet. I've been saving it to replace my ancient riding jacket after I get my Rocket back together. New leather for my resurrected ride. I got the medium and it fits good. Not too tight as I was fearing. Triumph is better with sizing now. Their stuff used...
  2. NAKED PICS

Naked ain't a bad thing but the poor girls are stripped! Get them back together before they get used to that state.
  3. BST Front CF Rim Spacer?

That's what BST did for me too. Spacers for newer model bikes came with the rims and they sent spacers for the older wheel axle like 3 months later which was way slow for me so I ended up buying a newer axle. The spacers did look different but I can't remember exactly how now. My bearings...
  4. How-To Change Clutch Cable

If I remember right, the Barnett cable was $50 for the stainless finish. I think the black one was cheaper by $10 or so. A stock cable is around $37 or $40 for the Classic. Not only can cables stretch but strands can break and make the whole thing weaker and more prone to total snapping...
  5. What's The "Hot" Spark Plug Folks Are Running Now?

I'm going to try the new E3 plugs when I get my bike back together. I've tried the iridiums and they didn't give me much over the standard NGK. Model number for the E3 we need is E3.36, at least that's what their crossref says. I will see. They cost about the same as the premium iridium...
  6. Tors noise.....

They might quiet a little but that's probably because the noise killed off some ear receptors. When I first got the TORs they hurt my ears but after a month or so it didn't bother me. Doubt it was because they got quietier by themselves.
  7. exspencive tire,s

Hmmm, I guess axel's prices are based on that Canada is still under the British crown and so are taxed just like the jolly chaps over the pond. Prices are going up but over $900 CAD for a pair of bike tires is ridiculous. That's still $730 USD. Shouldn't cost more than $500 USD fitted!
  8. Wrapped my header with DEI Exhaust Wrap

Link works for me. Search for thread titled "Feels like Nuclear FUSION Between My Legs!"
  9. Wrapped my header with DEI Exhaust Wrap

I did it up to my cat bypass but took it off. See here why: I remember commenting in more than one thread about this but can't find the others. If you do it, you should do the entire length of the exhaust system to avoid heat problems.
  10. CAT BYPASS

Yeah, you should at least get the proper factory tune put in for the bypass. Go with the one labeled "full power" or get Tuneboy for more torque giggles. Without tune change the bike will run lean though it will be hard to tell if anything is wrong in the short term. In the long term you can...
  11. Removing the wheels to change tires...

Good work! And no, replacing the bolt that secures the rear caliper is not needed. Can't see way it would be. I've removed my rear tire 6 or 7 times and there's nothing wrong with any of the original nuts and bolts.
  12. Ride it like you stole it break-in

Only thing I don't do during break-in is cruise at a constant velocity/RPM for long periods of time. Otherwise, it is throttle, smoke and burn. Done that with all me bikes and never had any problems thousands and thousands of miles later. Just do the break-in oil change at 600 miles...
  13. differential ring

You draggin' or just doing burnouts? Video would be nice. You do know that nutty shenanigans on a used up tire is a tad unrecommended. Bikebandit can get you parts but if you have a decent relationship with a local dealer they can usually get you parts cheaper.
  14. Clutch noises - slippage maybe?

Glad it is being sorted out. Hopefully Triumph will cover the costs. You'll have your Captain's grin back on in no time!
  15. Cable Routing on Classic & Fuel tank removal

Here's a thread about tank removal: If you have to disconnect throttle cables from the throttle bodies then before undoing them use a bit of white or colored paint to mark where the lock nuts are set at so you can quick put them back the same by aligning the paint marks. Also remember which...
  16. Anoother Shock Question

If you're overloading the springs then sure they would be prone to fail. You are overloading them at least half the time because, well, you ain't light and then add in your pillion and gear. My standard 440s are over 2 years old with over 30000 miles on them and still in fine working order. I...
  17. Anoother Shock Question

You probably just need the heavy duty springs in the 440s. But without receipt they ain't gonna rebuild them for you for free.
  18. Rider footpegs

You should check out TTS Performance's rearset kit. Install is more involved but I'd say it can be adjusted to a more touring position than the Raasks which are intended more for the sporty positions. www.tts-performance.co.uk or PM "blowme" (Richard) around here.
  19. HID Conversion kit ? No One ?

I hear the PIAA bulbs are some of the brightest you can get. I got the xenon blue H4 replacements at newr3.com which give off a whiter and a little brighter light but I don't think they were a huge difference from the stock bulbs. http://newr3.com/html/xenon_headlights.html I will try PIAA...
  20. Kellermann rear directionals

Awwww, now ain't those cute little, itty bitty things. :D TD is right. The Rocket rear looks best with that license plate stuff up and away.
