    New exhaust.

All I can say I love the sound and look of my Vandemon kit and so does everyone else who appreciates internal combustion engines.

    METZELER Cruisetec - Never Again!

I've been told by an independent mechanic that tires last longer at higher pressures but that may be just his opinion .

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

I replaced the clutch at 14177mi and now with 14966mi and almost 800mi later all is well and the noise has not returned. It originally started at around 600 and again at around 600 both times after the dealer messed with it so I think I'm good to go now.

    X-Country Tires

Well at the end of the day I decided to go with another Exedra Max on the rear for my adventure and have one on the way to be installed just before departure. Another Dunlop 4 Elite for the front which seems to do well and the 2 will hopefull make the round trip. Am getting the tires now before...

    Din plug tip

Man this is so timely because those sockets are just a bad design. I just fixed my left side outlet (again) because if one does not insert that plug perfectly lined up it pushes the 2 tabs together. Been having trouble with my heated gear so I just pulled out that socket again but connection is...

    X-Country Tires

I'm running the Dunlop Elite 4 in the front and Exedra Max on the rear right now. The Exedra is only good for about 3000mi and I don't know yet about the Dunlop but another one of those might do the trip. I'm trying to stay away from Metzeler and don't care about same brand/type on both wheels.

    X-Country Tires

I'm embarking on my 7000mi trip from California to Cape Cod and back in the last 2 weeks of May, provided the world doesn't blow up by then, and am looking for a set of tires that will make the whole trip. I'm sticking to interstate other than a 40mi detour over Talimena Scenic Highway in...

    Shift Assist Training?

Someone posted a lengthy write up on why to not put a lithium ion battery into a vehicle not designed for it specifically in the forum a while back. Post in thread 'Lithium battery' https://www.r3owners.net/threads/lithium-battery.55001/post-837860

    Shift Assist Training?

Yeah it works fine guess I was over thinking it. I do love that feature for getting up to speed quick but use the clutch much more than it, really depends on the situation.

    Shift Assist Training?

The manual states that one has to run the bike through every gear for a certain amount of time to re-train the TSA after battery disconnect. Where I live it's not necessarily practical to fly down the road in 6th gear for 10sec or whatever it is. I have not done this every time I disconnected...

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

That's kinda was I was thinking since at the end it snuggles up to the filter at the bottom. Btw those radiator shroud clips were no problem for me probably because I don't have hobbit fingers...🙃

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

The next time someone does an oil change could you please take a picture of the area behind the expansion tank because I don't remember how that fuel overflow hose was routed.

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

I don't know what you mean but no. With enough tension to hold things in place while allowing for sliding/rotating of the friction plate ears it takes both hands and fingers to insert the inner basket while fingering those plates and slowly work it in place. It's actually really simple but hard...

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

Being on my phone at work I will say this though. If the 3 10Nm bolts holding the release plate and spring tension are loosened the only way to get things back right is by taking everything apart and reassembling. When doing that there needs to be just enough tension to prevent the innermost...

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

It first started acting up after 600 mi and then about 600mi after both times the dealer messed with it. I replaced all the clutch internals except the baskets and will know more down the road. If it keeps behaving I'll never know. All the information we have so far is back in this thread. I do...

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

I went for a short 50mi ride and all is well. The clutch feels different, better. Whenever I pulled the lever even with the bike off before I could hear some mechanical action going on with the drum and I could definitely hear it with the bike running in neutral. Now when I pull the lever it's...
