    Thanks ALL! Bike goes into Ingersol Cycle in London on Wed.... they'll do it while I wait and show me the new parts and broken spring.... Am I to understand this happens "often" (Bike has 15,000 MILES)? Normally I would do all this myself but I don't have the time and have down sized in CDA...

    THANKS! I'll check but w all the bikes I've had... all of a sudden the shifter felt different.... stuck in 401 traffic outside Cambridge ONT, the heat was crazy.. lots of shifting then... OHOH... somethings not right... yup Im sure the spring broke.... dlr here says not a big job, 1.5 hrs that...
