    Quick Shift seems expensive

Bah if anyone said that I would ask them if they are driving manual trans vehicles without syncros and why they are bothering with electricity, they must be soft. I love my quick shifter. Sure I use the clutch most of the time because of decades of muscle memory but I find it great when I...

Hinkley heavyweights | Triumph make mechanical and ergonomic tweaks to Tiger 1200 range

They should have never put the T plane crank in the 1200. I think they are figuring that out and the next version will be back to a symmetrical fire.

    Motorcycle Lift?

Just a FYI, J&S jacks went out of business if you were thinking of going that route, though there are plenty of knock offs.

Any 17 inch rim options out there?

I am curious if anyone knows of a 17 inch rear wheel rim for the 2.5 Rocket. It would allow some different tire choices. I am trying to get a tire that is rated for more than 149mph and it seems like there isn't anything in the 16 inch range. 17 inch will open up options. Any help is...

    RPM for a stock engine?

I am more curious not how to do it, but if the max in tune ECU was safe for a stock R3 engine. I know some turn to 7400 but not sure if they have the titanium valves or if the standard motor can get close to that. Does the soft cutoff move with the rev limiter? I do not know. I loaded the...

    RPM for a stock engine?

I wouldn't be revving to 7K very often but there is some racing where I would be. Looks like the best thing I can do it get a hold of Fontaine and have him make me a tune without the speed limiter.

    RPM for a stock engine?

Here is my dyno run with the Penner tune, the blue line falling off early is the speed limiter in 6th gear cutting in. I would like to have full power to 7K, I am just not sure what RPM is safe for a stock Rocket 3.

    RPM for a stock engine?

I am hitting the soft limit I think, around 6700 the power falls over. I would like to have full power at a higher RPM but I didn't know if the rev limiter was set at 7400 if that was safe. Would that also mean the soft limit would be around 7100 and nose over there?

    RPM for a stock engine?

I am curious what the experts here think the top RPM that I could run without too much risk for the stock Rocket 3 engine? Current dyno runs on my bike look like it is limited at ~6700 RPM. Would 7K be too much, 7400? I am not sure how much margin they build into these engines.

    New Brake Recall!

No issues since the change but if you want to hear from me about it you need to give it about 6 months. Every time the dealer would bleed the brakes it would come back good and then it would take months to degrade.

    Updated Rocket 3 be Released?

If we are really going a different direction, I think the best touring bike would be an Indian Roadmaster style of bike with a R3 power plant with shaft drive. A real long touring machine.

190hp with a tune and air filter? Stage 1

I put on Penner's tune and my bike is rolling 160hp at the rear wheel. 2021 GT, stock otherwise.

    Crankshaft Question

I am pretty sure they are 120 degree, they are too smooth for T plane. They also don't sound like a T plane, the offset firing order has a V8 sound to it, sort of. The T plane also came out after the rocket was designed, the T plane is a pretty recent edition to the lineup.

200 Horsepower Rocket 3 vs 100 Horsepower Thruxton R at Drag strip

I think you misunderstood me. I have almost 10K miles on a bike I bought in 2021. I ride through the mountains, through the desert roads, to work, I ride everywhere. I have only drag raced it once. Meaning drag racing isn't my top priority, not even my second or third priority. I didn't...

200 Horsepower Rocket 3 vs 100 Horsepower Thruxton R at Drag strip

That was my first time drag racing a motorcycle so still working on the launches. One of my biggest issues is the clutch, it seems to jerk a lot leaving the line so it isn't a smooth release. I might just need to up my RPMs more, I was around 3200 on that last launch but the clutch seems to...

    Clutch Bark

Any update on the grabby clutch? Mine will sometimes do it as well when I am trying to accelerate a little faster, it is like the clutch engages then disengages as you are letting it out. Happens with traction control on or off. I am curious if any of the fluid changes have helped.
