    Laid it down - Twice!

All those of you who've dropped a giant bike ought to feel a little better from the fact that there are so many variables, and some of them you can't control: You can learn to stay off the front, especially on uneven ground or sideways gradient, and anytime the bars are turned at low speed...

    New Corbin Saddle

Gorgeous! Also, I didn't know they'd do the Union Jack next to the logo for you.

    Sturgis 2020

It occurs to me that a "like" to this post could be taken myriad ways, lol.

    Sturgis 2020

That last bit is hilarious, isn’t it? You couldn’t pay me to go to Sturgis (well, OK, if you paid me enough), but I thought the whole idea was to BE regular, H-D “lifestyle“ (regardless of what brand you’re on) pirate biker riffraff, get drunk and look at the boobies of women hired by vendors...

IF ONLY pics are posted, and comments are disallowed, I can't see why not. 🤷‍♂️ I could see those pics being really entertaining.

    Front foot pegs shot.

    Indeed. See above post.:D

    Front foot pegs shot.

Yep. Happens to me all the time. She doesn’t want mine, whatever it is I bought? “Why did you need that?” She likes it, however? “I‘m taking this one. You can get you another one if you want.” That’s happened several times with firearms and her. I’m still lugging around a steel-framed Sig P239...

taming the 310 whp Supercharged Rocket 3 R

So paid vacation for motorcyclists on regular weekdays when everyone else is at work, I presume? :coffee: If so, I'd be for it. Unless you're riding great roads that are somehow almost universally unknown, while I hate government nannies with a passion, I'd almost be willing to make that trade...

taming the 310 whp Supercharged Rocket 3 R

Bottom line is with a new bike, there's no "book" on setup or stuff to try for the track, so it's trial and error. We aren't gonna see what a mere mortal (someone not named Rickey Gadson) can do with this bike for a while now, but it's gonna be fun to watch folks like you go do it.

taming the 310 whp Supercharged Rocket 3 R

Yep. I've watched it many times. Awesome vid. Even though I'm much more of a road racer than drag-racer type, this is not just extremely cool, but extremely educational.

This is just so sad and wrong, if accurate.

Thanks so much for the correction. I always hedge with "if accurate" on innerweb-tubes articles written shortly after the event. Everything moves so quickly in the social media world, that articles often contain inaccuracies. But even though on opposite ends of the country, the amount of civil...

    On a positive note..

Yep. And in that regard, a true race 600 like an R6 is arguably worse if no one warns them, because it behaves like a tame little kitten until near 10k rpm, and then becomes almost a liter bike. I've seen more than one guy who was pretty skilled on a very powerful cruiser, get on a 600, and...

    Whitewalls on the new 3?

“That guy” in pink pinstripes sure ain’t me on this one, but I’ve always admired guys who were secure enough in their masculinity to do “female-looking,” and then back it up with bada$$. I had a friend in HS who was a black belt, but just LOVED the pink and aqua pastel, Miami Vice Don Johnson...

    Whitewalls on the new 3?

OK, that would look hideous, IMO, and I know you were joking, but...you’d be doing “you,” and nobody else would have one like you. :D The worst thing about it would be having to spray paint the header shields once a month. And without the whitewalls, and heat shields, an otherwise all-white R3...

This is just so sad and wrong, if accurate.

Agree completely. I’m one of those guys who just dislike the “lifestyle“ myself. The sad thing is, I’d read reports that their fastest-growing demographic with the big bikes was African-American riders, and I’d anecdotally noticed the same, just riding around.

    On a positive note..

All this, plus the sessions at most tracks are limited to about 20 minutes at a time, rest, snack and/or class time, and then another session, etc. So if you get uncomfy after 20 minutes, that's all you have to ride at a time, usually. And going around the same track, you learn all the curves...

This is just so sad and wrong, if accurate.

I don't see this as hurting their image, as neither they nor the rider did anything wrong. But it would make for an interesting negative sales pitch from an Indian salesperson, or Triumph on the Rockets, when a guy admits to cross-shopping an H-D: "Oh, you don't want to buy one of those...they...

    Whitewalls on the new 3?

Thanks much for the p'shop! You're right on red. But with that color combination, I'd bet you WOULD get a bunch of sales in the state of Alabama (to those on the other side of the pond, Alabama has no pro sports teams, and LIVES American college football, and that bike is close enough to one of...

    Whitewalls on the new 3?

If we do that, we have to add a begoggled Parson Russell Terrier harnessed into the shotgun seat.
