  1. Problem with left hand clock (speedo etc)

Hi All, Old member here (in more ways than one!) who hasn't been around for a while for all sorts of reasons, including, but not limited to: divorce, m/bike accident, cycle accident, redundancy... Anyway, my sadly neglected R3 ('06 'normal' model) was dusted off and taken for a run today, the...
  2. Rear Shock Mount Bolt Size?

Are the bolts that hold the rear shocks on 1/2"? I assumed all the bolts on the R3 would be metric, but a 13mm socket seems a bit loose, a 12mm won't go on, and a 1/2" fits perfectly.
  3. Narrower Rear Tyre?

Anyone tried fitting a narrower rear tyre to sharpen up the handling?
  4. Custom Radiator Grille - Photos

Very pleased with this, bought from ebay.de Photos of it fitted on my bike here:
  5. Mirror Adaptors - Would These Work?

Anyone like to make an educated guess if these would work on the R3? "Harley Davidson Mirror Adapters Two chrome mirror adapters to fit any of our 10mm mirrors to any Harley Davidson " From http://www.streetfighterstore.com/acata ... rrors.html
  6. Storing Bodywork / Tins - Rust Protection?

I've just bought a set of tins which have been removed from an unused bike. There is a very small amount of surface rust inside the tank. Nothing serious, and a quick wipe over with a rag soaked in WD40 has virtually got rid of it. My long term plan is to have the tins custom painted, but...
  7. Tuneboy - Getting The ECU Number

Received my Tuneboy today, and I'm in danger of falling at the first hurdle :) I've sent the following to tuneboy, but wondered if anyone here could get me a quick answer? "I've just received my Tuneboy and am trying to get the ECU number to send to you. I am getting the following...
  8. Tuneboy - New User Advice Please

I posted this on the UK site, but no replies yet, so maybe someone here can help me out? After much debate with myself I've ordered a Tuneboy, which I hope will arrive in the next day or two. I've done lots of reading of threads on this site and others, and understand that I'll be able to...
  9. Cheap Clock

Call me a cheapskate, but there's no way I'm going to pay £130 for the Triumph clock. I picked up a Timex watch on a velcro strap tonight from Asda (Wal-Mart for you guys over the pond) for £15. It's supposed to be waterproof, and it looks OK to me. Orange hands would have been...
  10. A Solution To Lifting The Bike?

As a newish owner I've recently had to do my first rear wheel removal. A combination of the manual lift sold on ebay(UK), a standard trolley jack and a few lumps of wood did the job, but I've got to admit it didn't feel terribly safe. This lift looks like a very good idea for those of us who...
  11. Fitted Flyscreen - Clutch Cable Rubs

Like the title says. Photo here; http://www.simonr.fotopic.net/p33939743.html My dealer wasn't at all helpful - showed me a Classic in the showroom which didn't have the same problem, but I guess they use the same length clutch cable with more pull back on the bars. Over time my set up...
  12. Small Dress-Up Bit

I recently sold my Speedmaster, and retained a seat bolt I'd bought for it. I've put it on the R3 as a replacement for the tank bolt. Not a major modification, but looks OK I think: http://www.simonr.fotopic.net/p33939744.html Bought from here: http://www.tribalaccessories.co.uk/prod...
  13. Getting The Back Wheel Off The Ground

Apologies if this has been discussed before - feel free to give me a virtual slap and link to the relevant thread if it has :) How do you get the back wheel off the ground? My bike lift will slide under the bike and jack it up, but the balance of the bike means that the front lifts up much...
