    Have spoken to the dealer who says the service book was stamped annually since registration 5 years ago so seems worth the effort to go and take a look. I'm not averse to having maintenance tasks to do as I've missed having a bike in the garage for wrench activity :).

    I've seen an early 2.5 GT with over 30,000 miles recorded - I realise nowadays that bikes can cover considerable mileages and be relatively trouble free unlike 50 odd years ago when I started out on bikes. Can I ask what I should look for - the service items are a given tyres/disc...

    That's priceless - 'an engine with turn signals', aptly put. :) Someone at Triumph Hinckley said a while back that "you don't remove the engine from a Rocket, but rather take the bike off the engine".

    Greetings from not far from Hinckley, pondering purchasing a R3 R, curiously I actually work part time for Triumph as Brand Ambassador taking groups around the factory - it is cracking good fun (I'm otherwise retired).
