    Sounds like he might've overtightened it so. Wonder did he use a wrench. You're only supposed to turn it by finger tips (while turning engine by hand so chain slack is taken up everywhere else) until finger tight as they say, and back off maybe 1/8 turn.

    Unfortunately no. The cams are in the right place but the crank is gone too far. The dots on the main gear on the crank need to line up with the lines on the crankcase, same time as the cams are in the position they're in in the photo. You'll need to ensure the chain is taught from the cam...

    The PC makes developing a map approximately a million times faster & easier than TuneECU. There's a list of stuff you could/should do to an 06 especially while in there too - are you doing pistons?

    Back cut is where the dogs and windows (male and female bits that mesh together to engage a gear) have a little machined off so that their mating faces are slanted, it helps a lot for the dogs and windows to catch and pull into each other. Can you post a pic pointing to where this play is...

    Yeah 5th input that's it. Closest gear to clutch after the little 1st gear that's part of the intput shaft itself. The Belleville washers act like a spring to hold resistance against it so the gear can be engaged. This vid might help show

    Probably need to back cut the 2nd gear to stop it slipping and jumping. I can't picture which gear you're talking about but one of them has belleville washers beside it to stop it spinning freely, wonder is this the one you mean about having strong resistance to turning?

    It's the guide for the pads, at opposite end to the guide pin. And yes that anti rattle spring that's in your caliper in the pic is the wrong way round, the triangle arrow should point in direct of rotation of the rotor through the caliper.
