    Any fix for front fender rattle? Carbon fiber?

    I have the carbon fiber side and the OEM fender top. there are little tabs that connect the two at the rear underside. the tabs aren't very big. if they pop out you might get some rattling. I used some double stick foam tape there. you'll just have to be patient if you ever have to take it...

    Yes, I'm hoping to get some reasonable November weather. It's ETA is Oct. 30. I bought new heated pants liner and socks last year. Already have the Puig touring shield for the bike, so I should be good to go.

    Ok, I will. ha ha. Welding thin metal isn't that easy IMO. As @bcar00 said. Good thing is it can leak a little and NBD. its not a gas tank. I'd get some metal the thickness of the cat box and see how you do. Then there's the type of metal. not sure what the cat is made of

    I beat the heavy rain this morning. But there were lots of clouds. Pictures would have looked better with blue skies, and the mountains not covered.

    I live in Ct. I brought 3 extra gallons with me for this trip. I think I'm at about 5 times now that I filled up with zero miles left on the range display. yeah, I would have been sweating too without the reserves. I scrubbed new tires (Exedras) the morning I left. So we'll see how they look...
