Can a Rocket III take down the establishment, and rule this island

Happy birthday dude 🍻🎂 I'm trying not to think about guessing what it will make. Chances are, they'll have a misfire issue or a coolant leak or something annoying that I'll have to go and fix before they can run it properly. That and these things are usually less than you'd like. Was thinking...

Can a Rocket III take down the establishment, and rule this island

You are correct, 2 of the plugs are DR9EA, which are the non protruding tip version of the DPR9EA9 (the other 4). I can't remember why but I think they were mixed like that when I bought them. Not sure re the belt, the new one is a lot thicker than the old one, even from when the old one wasn't...

Can a Rocket III take down the establishment, and rule this island

Guess my run of bad luck is still going. Van rental place had a delay this morning and my van was an hour late. So I was an hour late to the dyno... Missed my slot. Left the bike there though, they gonna do it over the next few days.

Can a Rocket III take down the establishment, and rule this island

Thanks Kev 🤨🤨😄😄 way to get my paranoia up. Trouble is, the selectable rev limit in the TuneECU map being at 9000, when you go to adjust it, it doesn't work so good. I've an 8000rpm map there too but 8 is a shade low. From what I understand, up to 25m/s is the max for factory engines, 28 for...

Can a Rocket III take down the establishment, and rule this island

It's a big day in the village Monday.. dyno day.. finally. 48 hours from now the bike will either be blown up or the dyno will be looking exhausted. Changed the oil out to Motul 10W50 and gave it a new supercharger belt the other day. Went to take it for a run, and the throttle cable hook on...

Unable to register tune ECU Via Paypal and Wise. Is TuneECU dead and gone? Alternatives I could use?

Done. Might want to edit your email out that post so the bots don't get it. Be sure to get the Triumph cable from www.lonelec.com A recent Windows should be OK. Trick is to setup cable drivers properly (2 of them...)

    Gear Position Sensor update question

T1296589 is the right part, it is an update kit for 2010-13 Roadsters which includes a new 4-wire GPS and the adapter 'fly lead' to mate it to a 2010-13 harness. (The reason there are other part numbers for the GPS, is if you are just replacing the GPS itself. Either on a 2013+ Roadster, where...

    Headlights

A conversion to LED is the way. You can get LED 'bulbs' that replace the old filament H4 bulbs but unfortunately the reflector type lamps we have arent really suitable. Best and cleanest route is to get a whole LED lamp unit that replaces everything inside the chromed bucket on the bike. A lot...

Can a Rocket III take down the establishment, and rule this island

A little update on the tuning. The bike has pulled well down low and after lots of work no pinging on the knock gauge anymore. But lately, getting up higher into the revs/throttle %, it actually felt a little 'underwhelming' up in the revs (even though it was practically neck & neck with my...

Maybe I'll use the stage name Ed Sheeran on the day 😄 Oh yes I forgot, a friend in the UK with a Hayabusa will be coming over to compete too. That'll be a different class though, stock bikes. I'll be in the unlimited class.

Well I sure hope so, been very careful so far with the build and mapping, so hopefully it survives the dyno.

    Triumph LED Headlights anyone?

You made a good choice. Well, three; the OEM LED headlights, to make an adapter harness instead of chopping, and to get a switch so one can run the DRLs alone and look cool. 1. The new lamps fit like a glove into the Rocket III bowls, they are all the same part (except Touring which has one...

Can a Rocket III take down the establishment, and rule this island

Yeah there have been times where I'm sure the clutch or wheel been spinning as the acceleration from say 50-70mph is fast but then it's noticeably faster from 70-90 kind of thing. It's like it gets traction and goes better. Haven't had to take anything apart since the new pistons etc last August...

Can a Rocket III take down the establishment, and rule this island

Me too, this build has been some years in the making, so it's a "moment of truth". I just found out there is a 'T2' impeller available for the Rotrex C30-94 supercharger, which gives a few more psi and flow, 20-40hp kind of thing but unfortunately there isn't time for that before dyno day. I'll...

Can a Rocket III take down the establishment, and rule this island

Slight update here, have hit 100% throttle at times, and went as far as 8500rpm albeit at 80% throttle. Getting zero pinging on the knock gauge - which is turned up to max sensitivity, so anything at all sets it off... So I reckon once I get the fuelling alright at this point, I can start...
