    Sows ear to silk purse

@Paul Bryant, lots of options for build and thus price, ask him!

    Sows ear to silk purse

 God didn't say much .... but I found myself saying "Oh God and Mother Mary" as I was holding on doing full noise in the first three gears. Sheer power through the darkside tyre put me well and truly over the licences shredding limit on a bit of highway

    Sows ear to silk purse

For the past couple of months my '05 has been a pig to keep idling at start up ... been feathering the throttle while warming up, balanced injectors within an inch of their life. I searched threads and got to the stage where I was dreaming about TPS stuff and really didn't want to go there. A...

I couldn't agree more. Been doing a bit of spannering myself. Went to the Post Office at lunch time, went for a ride a couple of hours later ...... thanks Paul Bryant - Easiest system I have ever put on a bike!!

    RDU 2016

Great ... my official memory, boss, cook and best mate is telling me to get on the road on Thursday afternoon so I just have to get up somewhere and get to the meeting point in a relaxed and rational state .... this is all falling into place.

I think I am going to do it, reluctantly....

Well ..... you grabbed it by the tail and gave it a good shake for 30 years. We all have mates that never got to make the decision to stop .... feel blessed you have opportunity. Lest we forget. See you ..... up the road a bit, good luck mate.

Rocket III Fairing?? Can someone I.D. this??

:rolleyes:I like very much, I'm almost ready to sell a couple of XV Yamaha and a K100 so I can buy another Rocket .... this is the direction I would like to go ... I would be really taken by a Red Stripe!

    new to the rocket

Welcome from the middle of NSW, good folk here (most of the time). Coming to SW Rocks if we don't all get washed away this week?

    My Rocket Is Destroyed

Your pain will go away - people (generally) heal and a limp is a bit of a chick magnet - bikes on the other require a bit of boof and spanner to get 'em well again. I can't see anything that isn't fixable on the bike. Fixing it can be your rehabilitation program. Hope your all good by the time...

    A Follow Up On JackBeQuick

I was impressed with the build and bolt on ease. I often thought about making something like it but fabrication is not one of my strong points. It was here in Aus in a week and on in an hour. Well balanced jack point. The only thing I really worried about was the rear oil drain point but there...

I think I am going to do it, reluctantly....

I spent a couple of years in the same place you seem to be right now, couldn't get a leg over any bike without pain, stopped working around the house because it just hurt to walk. Bloody depressing stuff ......had both knees replaced in December 2012 .... since then have ridden across Australia...

    RDU 2016

Well, .... all looking good, a north group and south group (looking a bit straggly) others pleasuring themselves by coming down from the west, ..... will be a good weekend. I really hope that with that, that many Rockets in one place, that the O2 levels in the atmosphere is still liveable.

    RDU 2016

OK Southerners ... I'm meeting Cusso Ken at Heatherbrae Maccas around 10.30 on the Friday, gives me 6.30 start from Orange - Bathurst - Rylstone - Bylong Valley - Denman. Heatherbrae is around the 3 hours from SW Rocks, time for lunch on the way and getting in around the same time as the...

MC Cruise a long time to install....but wow!

Just the stepped washer in the end ...... I never throw anything out so I know its in the shed somewhere .... it will turn up while I'm looking for something else. I sometimes wonder if my shed is a trans dimensional vortex where objects move in and out of reality, I just have to be there at the...

I'm dreaming of an 8 gallon tank...

NT is easy, heaps of fuel stops - all have 98 octane. Only problem I ever had was Tennant Creek to Broome passed two Servo's as they only had 92. Ran dry in sight of the first big servo in Broome, a mate on a roadking helped me out .... oh the shame.

MC Cruise a long time to install....but wow!

The method of integrating the new harness with the existing plug block in the existing harness looks daunting but the result is (I feel) a professional installation. The electronic servo is a lovely bit of kit but I think the real winner is the cable block which looked complicated but as I...

MC Cruise a long time to install....but wow!

The story of the Rocket. In 2006 I heard about one of those super powerful Rocket things that a man had bought and fell off the first day. After that he put it in a shed claiming that it had all been Triumph's fault. Later that year a mate called me to say he had a friend who had cancer who had...

MC Cruise a long time to install....but wow!

I just have to have a rave about MC Cruise. When I received the box and had a look inside it scared the devil out of me. I took three weekends of procrastination, read the detailed manual about five times, drank a lot of fire water and eventually attacked it. It seemed that I had to just keep...
