    I was ready to ditch the Darkside tire because of the same handling issues you mentioned. Then the front wore enough to change to the smaller 140 size. That completely transformed the handling and made the dark tire almost unnoticeable. Maybe try that before dumping the rear tire. Good luck.

    Absolutely not trying for sarcasm. I do love to hear other stories. 1 week after I got my roadster I raced my nephew on his cbr 600rr. But I told him only to 60 mph. He couldn't believe I was 3 bikes ahead every time he tried.

    Windshield Question

    I have a windshield and the flyscreen. Only put the windshield on to try it. Hasn't been back on. Flyscreen stays on. Blocks the wind front my chest and looks good too.

    Actually it's no problem, a small lift of the front tire (2"-4") will not hurt times I don't think. You are correct about big heavy tire hurting times and speeds. But I seldom drag race on the street and never on track. I don't get free tires to trash every 4k miles so the tire works for me.
