Do any of you forget to shift into 5th gear at times on the highway?

Looking for 6th like everyone else. If it helps the speedo (on mine anyway) is in the same position as the rev counter when in fourth so its easy to tell at a glance. I ride in 4th a bit as I live on really windy roads and getting into 5th not really useful

    Quickshifter

Hi Owl Thanks for the info. May I have a pic of you gear change setup if its not too much hassle? At least now I know a quick-shifter will work with the gearbox, I thought it may have been too "clunky" and heavy to make it worthwhile. What I really need to know know is has anyone got an...

Big bike, cramped riding position, need info

Glad you like the duck took me a while to shape it but makes me smile everyday I walk outside:D. The screen I got off a mate who hand made it for his speed triple. When he got rid of the speed triple he gave this to me, I really like it, its a hand-beaten alloy and a generic screen cut down...

    Gauge Problem.

Hi Lenny Woah read this with interest now don't know if this will be much help, but read the conversations and your comments to this point. When I had my problems we basically wheeled the bike into the garage and said its not moving till we find the fault then systematically tested and...

Big bike, cramped riding position, need info

Hi Know what you mean, I'm 6'4" and ride a std, for run crash bars and highway pegs for long runs and find it completely comfortable. When the roadster came out I looked at upgrading as I was keen on the ABS brakes but after trying one I thought the new foot-peg position was terrible (just for...

    IGNITION - POWER CONSUMPTION

Hi IDK Thanks for that will not fit 100w then. I hadn't considered the "plugin" LED's was thinking of the HD type units but they're thieving expensive. Not trying to advertise this site but price wise I get a lot of gear from Ali Express in China, good fast service and most of the stuff...

Just bought 2013 Rocket 3 Roadster! OMG!!!!

Welcome from NZ to the madness. Friend down the road warned me when I got my R3 to be careful. He said something along the lines, "this is a cruiser but always have a sports-bike mentality about riding it, otherwise it can bite you if your not in the right head-space" after a couple of...

Hi Lenny I went for the three K&N's under the bearclaw, but just yesterday my new K&N's arrived got them from Summit racing.com. Attached is a pic of the crap that can be gotten rid of under the tank etc, be amazed at Triumphs ability to reduce noise and power with it. First pic is of the new...

    IGNITION - POWER CONSUMPTION

Hi Barbagris Think I'm going to order one of these units, they are not expensive for what they do. In regard to the power consumption and alternator out put this is something I've also been interested in. Ive always wanted to put H4 100w in the headlights but been very reluctant as I wasn't...

    Man rules

IMO it would be more convenient if they left it up afterwards, while I've never been brave enough to suggest this to my better half, I'm happy to rant here about it:thumbsup:, they sit on it more than we do so why should we have to touch it when it's their asses on it most of the time?, suppose...

    Speaking of Brake Pads.....

I second this, always keep a spare set in garage, use depends on how heavy with the brakes you are, there's not much engine braking with the motor compared to other bikes I've had/ridden and its a heavy beast too

    hello petrolheads

Gday Ratdog, welcome from sunny Waikato, well sometimes anyway, buy the Rocket, under Insanity in the dictionary there should just be a picture of an R3, they are wrong in so many ways. I haven't seriously looked at another bike since getting mine. What area you from?
