Nice, can you tell us about the 33% upgrade oiling to cams?
There's a shop here in Montreal that repaired Triumph R3 & he had a couple of engines come in with camshaft problems. Problem with camshafts they were being starved for oil. So since I was adjusting the valves I opened up the feed hole 33% while I was in there. I've never heard of there being a problem with other machines but I did it anyway .

Yes that is true about not enough oil flow. 2 things to do. Raise the engine idle speed to 950+. And if you have the head off. Remove and then drill out the oil flow regulater stint just a little. Neville Lush told me about this when I installed his 200 HP kit.

You have to remove exhaust cam, in the last journal ( rear journal exhaust cam ) you check the size of feed hole . Calculate 33% larger drill bit. You will fill drill bit with grease And you drill very very slow so that all the metal shavings are caught on the drill bit. I MEAN VERY VERY SLOW SO ,THE SHAVINGS STICK TO DRILL BIT, YOU MIGHT HAVE TO CLEAN THE BIT OFF AND GREASE THE BIT 2 OR 3 TIMES!!!! THE SECRET IS SLOW & TAKE YOUR TIME. I don't remember oil feed hole or drill size. It was 4 or 5 yrs ago. Go luck if you go down this path. REMEMBER SLOW & EASY ,TAKE YOU TIME!!!
