    Missed My 05 Rocket

whew, A Griso, a v85, an early model California, Stelvio, Mandela, and a couple I can't remember the model of. He'd bought that new v100 but wrecked it, same with the latest model California. We will meetup up a couple times a week when time allows and when we're doing gravel & b roads he'll...

Interesting fuel octain discrepancy I found.

pretty sure it was b4 ethanol, hell might even been b4 local stations carried diesel! I was working at the gas station back in the mid 70's when we still had to measure the fuel sold at shift change to help balance the cash (discourage stealing) and we were taught to disregard the discoloration...

Interesting fuel octain discrepancy I found.

so the discoloration floating at top inch or 2 was the fuel and the tanks were half full of water? I'm impressed that the vehicle industry has managed to make cars that run on rain water, and how they made it so flammable.

Interesting fuel octain discrepancy I found.

Back in the day working at a gas station, we'd use a wooden stick to measure the fuel in the tanks at shift change and there'd be inches of water showing by floating on top of the fuel. The mid grade [back then] would have the most water in the tank due to being the least used fuel. TBH I...

    Realistic Fuel Mileage?

I got out into the country yesterday and top gear around 70 mph was averaging +40 mpg.

Back in Black...and a little blue!

I've got a KTM 1290 22 evo and if I compare dynos from Cycle world and BT moto it could be interpreted that CW calculates RWHP while BTmoto interepets hp at the crank.

    Realistic Fuel Mileage?

The onboard mpg average states 33-34 mpg and i've been doing a lot of local suburb riding. No doubt the mileage will improve on the highway.

    Wind Buffing on GT

I might be a bit envious that mods you do don't draw attention to themself.

    Wind Buffing on GT

My experience with handlebar mounted screens in the past would have the screens getting pushed down onto the gas tank at speed. Did you find an exception or additional support?

    Wind Buffing on GT

I replaced the powerBronze with the T-Rex 21'' screen and while the 21 is taller it's slimmer and the hardware puts it inches further forward. I'll probably stick with the powerbronze and play around with spacers to divert the wind.

    Radar Detector

Bump, I see this thread's ancient, but I appreciate the edge radar gives me and the latest batch from any of the top manufacturers offer a warning long before a leo can see who's speeding. I'm using an Escort 360c Mk2 and want to know what solutions you guys are using to secure your unit to the...

    Wind Buffing on GT

The PowerBronze light screen that's 19" tall keeps my chest clean but streams airflow that creates too much wind in my helmet. I found a T-Rex that's 21" tall has hardware that looks to tilt the screen more aggressively and turns out a bit at the top similar to Idaho Red's screen. I really like...

    2025 R3 Storm

I'm not crazy about the Powerbronze screen while riding, too loud as wind is deflected at my helmet. I'm looking at the T-rex website and they offer a 15x21" screen vs the 19" tall PB I have now, and a bit of a curve at the top to push the wind even higher. Is anyone using the T-Rex tall screen...

    Got my Zumo XT mounted

I bought and installed the zumo xt3 today, unlike my other bikes there appears to be a lack of acc outlets on the R3r storm. I didn't want to connect the wires directly to the battery because it's just another opportunity to run the battery down and I really want to save the outlet in front for...
