Just edited the title of this thread when I realized I wrote "many years to come" Triumph only promise "years to come."

Rocket III's Here For Years To Come!!!

This is from Triumph Australia's Facebook Page. Good News!!!:):):) Triumph Motorcycles Australia Everything you’ve heard about the Triumph Rocket III is true, with the exception that we are stopping production. The largest capacity production motorcycle in the world is at home taunting...

Is this going to de-value my R3R ?

I read somewhere that the name "Thunderbird" was first registered and used by Triumph for their motorcycle after a designer from Triumph visited the U.S and visited the "Thunderbird Motel." Ford then asked Triumph's permission to use the name "Thunderbird" which Triumph granted as they felt...

Shedding A Tear For My Baby...

Bummer!!! Maybe we could petition Triumph to put an optional kick-start on the next model:roll::roll::roll:

    ABS light

From owner's manual: "The ABS indicator light illuminates to show that the ABS function is not available. Illumination is normal after engine start-up, and until the motorcycle first reaches a speed exceeding 6 mph (10 km/h). Unless there is a fault, it should not illuminate again until the...

    What's the hole for

Well what do you know, I just checked on Bike Bandit and the Chrome Plug is a very reasonable $1.65.

    What's the hole for

+1. As Leatal has said my hole has a cheap ass chrome plated plastic plug filling it, looks like it wouldn't take much to dislodge the plug (therefore they probably cost about $25 to replace OEM).

    Rocket Sightings

My wife an I have just got home from a month long tour of Italy with a side trip to France, only saw one Rocket III on our travels, it was in Monaco a bright orange version with the tribal markings.

    Next Rocket model

Yeah I must admit that the whole "world's largest production motorcycle engine" had me scratching my head for a bit especially with bikes like the Boss Hoss and Barbarian motorcycles on the market which have V8 (5.7 litre for the Babarian) engines in them. Then it dawned on me that it is all in...

Brand new Rocket 3 transmission issue

I had a similar issue which appeared just after the first (500 mile) service. The bike would be going along fine and then it would seem to jump out of gear for a few seconds and the slip back into gear. At first it was thought that the detent spring was cactus but after that was found to be ok...

    2005 rocket3 with2,700mls

G'day and Welcome. When I first saw your post I thought the 2,700mls stood for millilitres rather than miles and that someone had done some SERIOUS modifications to the 2,300 millilitre engine. Certainly are low miles for a 2005 model sounds like a good buy!!

    Yet another new Aussie PM

I was watching the usual morning television drivel this morning at the gym when this flashed up on the screen. Whoo Hoo I thought Malcolm Turnbull (a politician) has gotten himself a Triumph and three learned commentators are going to discuss his choice of ride. I was wondering what model he got...

Post a pic of your R3

This is a typical back road around here, narrow but empty. From memory it was about 22c (71.6f) and no real wind.....a perfect day for a spin! I love seeing all the pics of the R3's but they make me realise how limited the colour choice is. Would it be really that difficult for Triumph to offer...

new to this ! ZX14R rider turned Rocket III rider.

Funnily enough the same sort of thing happened to me about a month ago, a gentleman was admiring my R3 in a carpark and when I told him it was a triple he asked me a couple of times if I was sure it wasn't a 6. When I explained it has only 3 cylinders but 6 spark plugs he told his wife that that...
