  1. Talked to Carpenter Racing

To those who like to make little comments about someone they don't know, or their bike from the safety of being at home in front of a computer typing on a keyboard, well that just about sums it up. I guess when someone is struggling and is thinking about throwing the towel due to it's not...
  2. Talked to Carpenter Racing

Well it's official my bike doesn't have anymore torque in the lower RPM's than it did before. Unless the dyno graphs have been manipulated neither of the TuneECU maps I had were any better than the custom PCIII map I had to begin with. Like I stated previiously I ride this year with my turd the...
  3. Talked to Carpenter Racing

Well boys and girls after four weeks by bike is ready to pick up. As it was explained to me on the phone there are four maps for me to look at. 1st is the original map that was done with the power comander a few months back, 2nd is doing a run to verify if anything has changed, 3rd was to store...
  4. Rear wheel clean up.

Not to try to hyjack this thread, but does this Purple Polish remove whatever coating the wheels have on them from the factory. Mine are in overall good condition, but there are a few spots that are stained a wee bit. I'm afraid to use anything other than soap, or spray wax as I once used a...
  5. Naked...or Dressed!

Just slightly dressed. I like to leave just a little bit to the imagination. Oh wait, I forgot we are talking about motorcycles. Naked from the standpoint of leaving the bike the way it came. Unfortunately at certain times of the year a windshield becomes a necessity. Once the weather warms up...
  6. Talked to Carpenter Racing

I agree with Steel and had I went that route from the beginning I'd still have around $500.00 in my pocket. In hindsight $4,400.00 for the Carpenter turn key 210 kit would have been the best way to go. There would be no more chasing ponnies. Just one time and I'm done. My update will be coming...
  7. Talked to Carpenter Racing

Rocket Scientist, the tune you sent me is what will be the baseline for comparrison to the PCIII tune currently installed. I'm going ask the operator to closely whatch the difference in the low RPM range. I'm thinking I'll not be running a PCIII after all is said and done.
  8. Talked to Carpenter Racing

Secondaries have already been removed. Making fueling adjustments as necassary in the lower RPM ranges via TuneECU after a canned tune is dropped in makes sense. Hopefully I'll be getting this all worked out soon as the weather is beginning to break here. This winter is the first year since I...
  9. Talked to Carpenter Racing

So from what Rcocket Scientist, Greggry, and Warp are saying is that all my low end torque issues(off idle to just above 3,000) are caused by the tune that is in my PCIII doesn't have the proper fueling for the bottom end. This is caused by the limitations of the PCIII and/or the dyno operator...
  10. Talked to Carpenter Racing

Ok Wayne you have scared me back into the nothing without filtration mode. I had a moment of weakness. I also recalled my dyno sheet wrong. I pulled it out and it says 146HP and 152TQ. In my mind I must have switched the numbers and read a nine in there somewhere. I seem to be getting a little...
  11. Exhausted from my exhaust search

Just pull the string and go for the Carpenter Megaphone 3:1 system. From talking to Carpenter I'm thinking it's the ticket provided you open up the air flow as much as possible and have the correct tune.
  12. Talked to Carpenter Racing

Just when I thought I had cooled off from what had transpired between a local stealer and myself who I had a long relationship with I talk to Carpenter and I'm all worked up again. I called them to discus their 3:1 Megaphone Exhaust System and what if anything would the system do for my...
  13. Found..Jardine Exhausts..New!

Just got it strraight from the horses mouth. I e-mailed Supertrapp and asked them if and when they were ever going to start manufacturing the Jardine 3:1:2 exhaust sytems for the R3 standard/classic. The responce I received was that they are not currently in production and there is no date to...
  14. Corbin fastgun saddle / Rivco solo luggage rack

I did everything you did, but still got the shaft. Not a good way to start a business relationship on Corbin's part.
  15. Floorboards question?

Go with the ones for a standard. I have an 08 Classic and I'm always scrapping the darn things in curves and turns. You get used to it, but it's still annoying.
