    My broken cam...

Some of you guys may remember last year I had issues with my '07 classic which resulted in a broken exhaust cam. I hate to admit the cause of the problem but it may help someone so I will. This bike was basically new to me with 50k on it when this happened. I removed the oil tank and a small...

    Getting older

One more thing about this getting older thing, I have a 36 ford hotrod ford pickup I built a few years ago, it has a built pontiac motor and gets lots of attention, I go motor around in that and it makes me feel 35 years younger. Its different then a rocket in that just about everyone identifies...

    Getting older

At 66 I'm luckily to be in decent shape, not on any meds or anything, my issue is when I look in the mirror what I see is shocking! Sometimes I think I should quit riding because if I fell and busted myself up now would be hell to pay but as soon as I get rolling I forget all about it!

07 Classic: Bike quit running, lost spark on two cylinders

Thanks for the thoughts guys, last winter I put a cam chain in this bike an last last fall I had to take it all apart to replace the alternator stater so I guess I'm getting burn't out on working on it. I'm thinking warp 9.9 is likely right and the head should come off as there is no compression...

07 Classic: Bike quit running, lost spark on two cylinders

So today we found the issue, after taking the cam cover off discovered the exhaust cam broken between the two exhaust valves on number 1 cylinder. The exhaust valves on the dead cylinders appear to all be closed but I can't be sure there hasn't been any piston valve interference. With summer...

07 Classic: Bike quit running, lost spark on two cylinders

Yeah! no I've not changed the fuel filter on this bike an it's probably time since it just turned over 50k an I only had it for about 5k and don't know the history on it.

07 Classic: Bike quit running, lost spark on two cylinders

I haven't been under the tank for two mouths or so but before that I had taken the whole bike apart to install a new alternator stater so I could screwd anything up!

07 Classic: Bike quit running, lost spark on two cylinders

Didn't get to work on it today, charged up the battery (maybe the cause of the weak spark) I was thinking I didn't get a half mile after I filled up with gas, maybe I got some water... I got all the gas I can out of the tank and added a little alcohol. Tomorrow I will try squirting a little gas...

07 Classic: Bike quit running, lost spark on two cylinders

The spark looks weak on all three so I put it back together to try it, it hits on number one but won't start, I think I will take the plenum off and try squirting just a little gas into two and thee to see if it starts momentarily. have the charger on it, thanks for all the help guys

07 Classic: Bike quit running, lost spark on two cylinders

Ok, so I've been looking and testing all the connections, haven't yet removed any coils an now I have spark to all cylinders but the spark looks weak. So looking for a ground issue, thank you Son of dog for the wiring diagram.
