  1. Chromed steel headlight visors

Side note to my initial post. Just found that JC Whitney carries the same size visors for exactly half the price of the H-D model. JCW says theirs is a replacement for the H-D part # that I purchased and at only $5.99 ea. Not sure if the chroming is same quality but they are metal, not plastic.
  2. Chromed steel headlight visors

I'll try to post pics but have never done so. I do have a digital camera and the Kodak Easyshare program installed in the computer so I'll try to transfer from my files. To describe verbally in the meantime: The visors extend at least 2'' at top center and taper to nearly halfway down each...
  3. Chromed steel headlight visors

The Harley Davidson 5 and 3/4" headlight size visor Part #67750-88T fits the Rocket perfectly. Possibly any visor for this size headlight will work just as well, but I can verify the fit of the H-D one. Cost is $11.95 ea. Just remove the Rocket's retainer ring bolt and nut, spread the ring...
  4. Cover for the Rocket (any suggestions?)

Thanks Luke for the cover info, but it was Dickint at the top of the thread that was inquiring. I'm well set with covers for my rides. Talk later. Rocketbikr out.
  5. Highway pegs

Yogi, I agree that Kuryakyn highway mount for the 1300 VTX looks like the closest thing to what may work on our Rockets. Let us know what you had to do to get it to fit. I'll do the same if I get a set first. That mount's directions on-line show the four bolts included are 10mm x 1.25 x 100mm...
  6. Custom Wheels

Moosey, I will try to post pics of Rocket with chrome wheels soon on this thread. I'm expecting all my black sheet metal parts back from the painter with silver flames added by mid-April. I will try posting a pic with the wheels installed but minus all the painted parts this week if I can get...
  7. Custom Wheels

Still don't know of anyone producing custom replacement wheels for our Rocket. Could'nt wait so had both OEMs chromed locally. I'm very pleased with the results. Cost was just $325 each compared to $1,000 ea. and up for customs.
  8. Chromed levers ( similar to OEM adj. reach style)

Got tired of waiting! Removed lever pins and disassembled the rotary adjustable reach device and took the end levers and pin/nut units to have chromed. (Detached the handlebar grip ends to have chromed as well since I changed to chrome & rubber driver pegs recently.) MORE CHROME!!
  9. Replacement driver pegs

Update on Kuryakyn driver peg adapters Unfortunately, Kuryakyn responded that they are not working-on such an adapter for the Rocket and have no plans to do so. As some other Rocketeers have done, I decided to modify a set of adapters they do produce and have them rechromed. After careful...
  10. Cover for the Rocket (any suggestions?)

cover for the Rocket or any bike Hey Dickint, check-out the covers made by Exigent at <www.exigentbikecovers.com>. You wanted waterproof and they make a model with vents to help eliminate condensation build-up. I prefer their full "dust" covers that are light, soft, breathable nylon, easy...
  11. Replacement driver pegs

Has any Rocketeer out there found a Kuryakyn foot peg adapter that will properly fit a Rocket III? They don't list one for our bike on their website, and I am presently waiting on an e-mail reply from them regarding this issue. Also, have any of you found any other brand of driver pegs (not...
  12. Front fork cap covers

Found that the Kewl Metal #161 Fat Fork Caps for the Honda VTX & Valkyrie models fits the Rocket III fork tops perfectly. Covers the entire top hex head and surrounding radius to the edge of the triple tree. Can view at www.kewlmetal.com and purchase at www.cruisercustomizing.com for 39.95 per...
  13. Heavy Duty Clutch with 6 gears

RiderRocketman, and others having problems with factory clutch slippage, help may be just a few months away. I just got an e-mail response back from Chris Taylor at Barnettclutches.com. Barnett Tool and Eng. has made first-rate heavy duty clutch kits for a long time. They saved the day back in...
  14. Shop Service Manual, Got One Yet?

What Valk and RiderRocketman said, ditto. Also, best-designed and organized one I have seen yet. Worth it. Rocketbikr out
  15. Lockable luggage (UK)

Kremmen, I don't know if American-made Willie&Max bags are available for you to look at in UK. You may not favor the classic retro-style cruiser bag look. Most of the major aftermarket accessory catalogue/internet mailorder co.s carry them. Thought I'd mention them because their "new" style now...
