    Ignition Switch relocation

    I know what your saying. I had the same problem when I moved it to the left rear. I relocated it to the right front plastic panel in front of the tank.

    There is a factory mod for the wire connectors to the harness. I put it on when I put a new switch in. Couldn't say if it made any difference because my instruments were still working.

    I went from a roadster screen to a 25inch clearview to the flyscreen......no changes in the " fixing kit ". The flyscreen has it's own mounting brackets which bolt to the fixing kit as you know.

    I agree with some others on the board that feel the problem with the switch is in powering the headlights through the switch. My new switch already has black residue on the surface where you insert the key. I believe a relay between the switch and the lights is in order.

    Here is mine on a 6x10 snowmobile trailer last September. I would suggest not tilting the trailer and driving up it, very scary, use a ramp if you get one.

    Mine is getting changed with the next tire.....what a PITA! Do the newer bikes have vertical stems? I'm going to check next week at the Cleveland Bike Show.

    I don't know...I assumed all the valve stems were 90 degrees to the starboard side. Last summer when I had a new tire put on the rear I asked the dealer if he could rotate the valve 180 degrees to the port side, it would be a hell of a lot easier to check and service.
