    New Brake Recall!

My parts came in a couple of weeks ago, but finally got around to getting it scheduled and completed on Thursday. Took them about 3 hours, including doing the fuse swap recall and annual maintenance/oil change. I asked the guy at the service desk and he said it was the first brake recall...

    New Brake Recall!

This is good timing as my rear brake is dead after having them bled last year. I just called the dealership to get the ball rolling. Hopefully, there won't be a long backlog of master cylinders.

Glad to hear you got it completed. Which side did you mount the switch on?

    Suddenly a new contender

Hey, sorry. Was out of town over spring break and didn't have a chance to respond. I went back through my email exchanges with Vandemon and while I asked about more detailed instructions, it doesn't look like they ever sent anything. I saw on Facebook that someone had completed their...

    Suddenly a new contender

I might have had to email them to get them to send me instructions. They weren't very extensive, but it was fairly straightforward. One thing I'd probably do differently is they showed the the switch mounted on the right handle bar. I'll probably move it to the left at some point. More...

Hi FJS, Yes, still happy with the purchase. They went on fairly easy and have performed great. No issues with the switch changing from quiet to loud mode. It also looks like the price has come down on them - they still aren't cheap, but less that what I paid ~6 months ago. It was warm enough...

    Vandemon exhaust for 2500 rocket

There is a fair amount of info here - Previous Vandemon Thread

I should have weighed it before bolting it on. Can't say exactly, but it was substantially lighter than the OEM (no surprise). It looks substantial and solidly built, but with all the titanium and carbon fiber it was surprisingly light when lifted.

Some more still shots. I still think nothing beats the look of the OEM pipes. However, I think Vandemon looks like it could have been original more than any other slip on option I've seen. The dual modes is a big plus for me. The loud mode is louder than I'd want to have full time. The videos...

A couple of comparisons between quiet and loud modes. The mic leveling on the phone doesn't do justice to the difference in volume between the two. Also the much of the louder sound gets washed out. First try while work was still in progress Second try after everything was buttoned up.

Was short on time and didn't manage to take any in process pictures. Still have to run the wire/switch under the tank up to the handlebars and tighten everything up. A significant difference between running quiet and opened up. Will try to get some video over the weekend.

Replying to myself to update that I've got one on the way. Shipping seemed fairly reasonable (for Australia to the US). Hopefully I can knock out all the other projects I have stacked up so I can get it installed quickly once it gets here.

They've posted pricing on their web site and a demo video on social media. Says out of stock, so not available to purchase yet. I didn't see anything about when they'll start taking orders. Not cheap, but compared to all the other options I've seen so far, this one has me the closest to pulling...

Lamonster vs Trik Union Jack tank pads

I can't even tell they are there when riding. I'd question the 4.7mm thickness they are claiming. I don't think they are even that thick with decal stuck to them. The 2.6mm might work, my biggest concern was when I first tried placing one was the curve of the tank interfering with the magnet...
