Rt 58 sometimes called "the crooked rd" is another favorite... from rt 16 to Damascus, VA is FUN especially as you get near the west end along the river. -

This is the reason that I like a tour vs. a single home base. To make a nice route hitting as many good Twisties as possible on the way vs. trying to find a local to ride out and back from for several days...one is a vacation and the other is an adventure. -

I've been in that area a lot. No lack of nice roads. The well known The Back of the Dragon & The Snake are not too far...& Hayters Gap Rd AKA " The Widow Maker" 👹 -

Just my 2 cents...I know the planning is more difficult but my personal fav format is a tour...stay in a different place each night. If you want to make it easier for those that trailer, make the tour a loop & keep start and finish the same location. -

Southern ride this Spring?
We had a nice ride from Marlinton to Bradford, PA. Got a few short showers but rode thru em pretty fast and arrived dry. Special thanks to TOW for making us aware of this little gathering... IT WAS A WHOLE LOTTA FUN!!! 😊 -

It's been over a decade since I rode Smoke Hole Rd last. And it's a ways from Marlinton but it was a fun road. It's up by Seneca Rocks. -
