    Southern ride this Spring?

It's been over a decade since I rode Smoke Hole Rd last. And it's a ways from Marlinton but it was a fun road. It's up by Seneca Rocks.

    Southern ride this Spring?

Rooms reserved. Some of you may remember my buddy Charlie, who was with me in Maggie Valley and Montrose CO. He is hoping to join us on this trip. He had to cancel going with us on two of our recent trips due to health related conditions...so hoping the third time's the charm.

    2020 Indian Roadmaster Darkhorse.

The Rear Cylinder Deactivation is "seemless" on my Roadmaster. Idles smoothly on one or two. But there is a control for it. You can turn it off in your "Settings" if you want to do without it. I live in FLORIDA. I ride in triple digit heat some times. It's a definite help. @sonny the...

You must be looking at a different model Indian. This is for my Roadmaster: 888-920lbs...no fuel/full fuel

Thanks Mike. It's a "Roadmaster", Therese picked it out, she was "drawn to it". The test ride sold me. Very comfortable. I added a free-er air cleaner and the Freedom true duals to eliminate the cat and reduce heat. The tires are still the OEM originals Dunlop E 3s.

    MaggieValley, the aftermath,,,,,,,

The advantages of less power. This bike is heavier than a R3 and most of the miles are 2-up plus luggage, so it's not the weight that does them in. Almost 12,000 miles on this rear tire & still going.

Yes, you are talking about my exceptions. Instructor types or companions. You are missing my point. People follow a line of slow-moving traffic through the Dragon. DON'T DO THAT! It's a waste of your riding it. Options: 1.The slower traffic will pull off and let you by at their first...

I actually made a video on this subject..related to riding the dragon. You do not want to follow someone who is controlling your speed. (Possible exception is a fellow rider that you're familiar riding with or maybe an instructor type.) You need to ride your own pace. Traffic sucks. Traffic...

I like the Dragon better than the Cherohala and the lower Moonshiner (rt28 going north) better than the Dragon. There are a lot of other sections of roads equally nice for me. What I like is quick succession turns with proper banking that yields a "perfect rythum of the road". Right, left...
