    Welcome! Ridden metric muscle bikes all of my life this summer Iwas thinking of a harley. Then I came across a low mileage 05 Rocket 3. The most insane bike next to my v max i have ever put a leg over!!!

    It also fixed my speedometer being out going with the taller tire!

    Thank you for letting me join your group. Just bought a Rocket III Roadster from 2005 to my small collection of bikes.

    2005 club! Such an amazing bike. I found one by chance and having a blast on it! Going to try and modify a vulcan back rest see if i can make it fit!

    Finally got my rear wheel back on with Bridgestone 240/55/16 .

    I was able to get wheel off with exhaust still in place. New rubber time, looking at bearings wheel has been off before!

    Thanks to the great info on the forum managed to get my rear wheel off with out to much fuss! It was dealing with the 20 year old exhaust bolts that was the biggest pain!

    Just wondering what 1st gen rocket riders get for fuel range? I've only had machine for couple weeks I'm avg 150 km till light goes on with the odd rip How big is the reserve on these? 25 L tank i believe?

    Pretty new to the Rocket world! Riding for many moons ! Had vtx, v max sport bikes. Came across this 05 with low clicks and figured why not? Even as a bone stock machine boy does it ever pull!!!

    Well I found a Bridgestone 240/55/16 For $323.00 canadain.going to pull the trigger on it. I've removed rears on my vtx 1800 can't imagine it's much harder on the rocket!

    Fuel octane

    Morning from Canada. Doing lots of research on my new to me 05 R3.Some talk about how the compression is relatively low on the 2300 engine. Would that lead me to believe high octane is not required on these years?

    Not a lot of choices out there ? Cobra metzler and odd ball Bridgestone 240/55/16 i see now why the darkside is so tempting!
