    Just drop the sump and post a pic of the shrapnel. The difference between chewed bearings and gear teeth is pretty obvious. In either case I'll hazard a rebuild will be cheaper (and presumably more reliable) than sourcing a used engine. New cases alone were around $10k AUD a few years back...

    Assuming the schematic is accurate it looks like there isn't anywhere to mount that guide on your oil pump assembly. My 2013 engine doesn't have a guide on the chain and I don't recall ever seeing an engine that did. Will be interesting to see if anyone has one...
