    Just drop the sump and post a pic of the shrapnel. The difference between chewed bearings and gear teeth is pretty obvious. In either case I'll hazard a rebuild will be cheaper (and presumably more reliable) than sourcing a used engine. New cases alone were around $10k AUD a few years back...

    Apparently you will need be slightly stoned and have anal beads at the ready - presumably to prevent your arse biting holes in the seat.     Assuming the schematic is accurate it looks like there isn't anywhere to mount that guide on your oil pump assembly. My 2013 engine doesn't have a guide on the chain and I don't recall ever seeing an engine that did. Will be interesting to see if anyone has one...
