How much should I expect to pay for a full 20K mile service including tune up, new coolant, upper radiator hose, & rear brakes. I also am having the dealer tighten up the front end to eliminate the front end shake that in common with the R3T.
Any guesses?
If you check out my threads, you will see that I have been *****ing about Triumph not stocking basic parts required to service my 08 RT3. Here is the latest.
20K service....VALVE COVER GASKET...10 days delivery. Granted, this is better than the 4-5 weeks I have experienced in the past, but...
My ride is a 2008 R3T. I have over 21k on the bike and over the last few months I have been gettting a real bad front end shake. All I have to do is loosen my grip on the bars and the front end wants to shake.
Anyone had experiance with this problem or insight on what I need to do to fix it...
The break away is not a real easy install. You really need to understand the mechanics and then take the time to dial it in. If you are having trouble getting it to work. Start over.
On my install (Rocket Touring with custom Grips) I had to use the plastic extension piece to work on my...
Pacific Coast
There are many great rides but there are few that can compare with Pacific Coast Highway starting in Los Angeles and ending below Seattle. The trip should be planned for 3-4 days and never rushed. Through Santa Barbara, Big Sur, San Francisco (over the Golden Gate) and the...
Oh my....the Rocket !
It's funny you mention the Honda engineers. I'm the same as you. I've been a Honda guy forever. Just added a new 08 VTX1800 for a commuter. Honda is amazing when it comes to the detail and design of the product they put on the street.
But then along comes a machine...
It ain't Rocket Science . . . . . . .
Let's face it...the grips heat the inside of your hands and the wind chills the outside. When it's cold you either have fairings that protect your hands or you use heated gloves. It ain't "Rocket III Science", (Please forgive me, I've been...
Busted throttle tab ! Me Too !
That was me...same busted plastic tab in the middle of a 1500 road trip. I was quoted 4-5 weeks for the part so I bought the ISO grip with the Kuryakin bar end style cruise control. Works great. I just can't handle the 4 week wait for parts. That's what you...
Throttle Control
Too bad you didn't take a look at the Break Away product. I think it's the best on the market. Throttlemeister is good and the Kuyrakin ISO grips with their throttle lock is a pretty nice setup as well.
One more bite the dust !
Orange County Triumph, Santa Ana, CA - GONE

Orange County Triumph, Santa Ana, CA - GONE

Put it on ice !
Hey Dennis, They still have one left. Throw them a down payment to hold it, work out the details (1.99% interest) and I'll store it for you until you get home...:D
Triumph Service
That doesn't make sense unless Triumph ships parts from a central Whse. in the east and ships to the West coast direct from the UK. But I guess it makes sense to Triumph...take care of Home, Europe, and the East Coast and then ignore the damage a "piss poor" supply chain...
Here is an update to my post a month ago about slow parts delivery on my 08 R3T...before anyone starts to call me a "hater" or any other term that means someone trying to stir up the crap...forget it. I love my Rocket. It is the most amazing machine I have ever owned. That goes back to my...
2008 - 2009 - 2010 ???
I was also thinking about the 08 issue and I'll tell you what worked for me. First thing to remember that the kind of people that by Rockets are "Real Riders". They are not kids who burn up tires and street race. When you find a used bike, they should all be well...
Throttlemeister or Break Away
I have the Throttlemeister on my R3T, It works fine. I did not know about the Break Away Cruise Control system before and although it cost more, I would now choose the Break Away over the Throttlemeister.
BrakeAway Motorcycle Cruise Control
The installation of...
