    Morning Ciderbaby, thats an option if i don't get any joy. I've had a couple of replies from plating companies saying it can't be chrome plated. I've messaged a vacuum metalising company to see if they can do it.

    Metal cord/rope around diff housing???

    Has it been put on to hold the black plastic surround in between the drive shaft and the wheel, its not loose or cracked is it? I cant think of any other reason 🤷‍♂️

    Not sure where you are but in the UK, fowlersparts.co.uk have eveything you'll need. I did mine last year, sourced the filter and hose on ebay and all the clips, seals etc. From fowlers. Just be carefull with the bolts under the tank when refitting as i managed to snap one of mine 🙄
