  1. 2nd Gear Blues

To rehearse that my otherwise valiant 2004 Rocket III had shown this second-gear popping issue 3 or 4 times (!) almost from day one and during its first 5 years/40'000 miles of ownership. The fix or fixes (?) did not cost me a cent. Downtime, at the time, was just a minor irritant to me, given...
  2. What's the deal with Lush Racing

Not a good experience, indeed. There would be no point in debating what went wrong any futher. And I apologize for the harsh wording I used in my first message above. "Over and out on this one for me" as well. Jamie
  3. What's the deal with Lush Racing

Neville, Thanks for your response. A couple of clarifications, if I may: 1) My "speed shop" was Godier-Genoud, of Kawasaki endurance fame (at least in Europe), in nearby France. Mr Genoud refused to use TuneBoy (which I had already purchased) and convinced me to order a Power Commander unit (he...
  4. What's the deal with Lush Racing

My 2 cents worth? Stay clear of Lush. He supplied me with wrong piston rings, drag strip-type cams as opposed to just "sporty" cams (on a parts exchange basis) and, worse yet, erroneous cam timing and cryptic e: tuning instructions. He of course eventually acknowledged the mishaps (dating back...
  5. border line depressed

Greetings Busa:). When did we last part with each other? For the first time in exactly 46 years, I am without a motorcycle. Doctor's order. An ominous threat, rather. I eventually surrendered. That was last May, after a 4th round of spine surgery in 9 years :(. Consolation: I find some (not...
  6. border line depressed

I feel for you mate. Being 65 and plagued (since 2004) with on-going spine problems. Not a "me too" or a "worse than you" response (aaargh!) mind you. Just a note of good buddy-ness from someome who thinks he can somehow relate to the uncertainty and the soul search you are going thru. With...
  7. Vale Pete Seger

He'll for ever belong to my early teenage years :(. RIP Pete
  8. Rocket owners average age!

Goodness me! For the first time since 1949, I seem, at long last, to be above average ;) And I now wish I were way below:( Best. Jamie
  9. Rocket owners average age!

  10. competition for Rocket 3??

Neondirtall? To me , the reborn Valk' just looks like a 250cc Honda commuter scooter on Viagra:ninja:
  11. Seat options for short riders?

Back to Ricochet's initial post and his dreaded bud who's able to put BOTH his feet FLAT on the ground. Goodness me! Let him continue showing off such a mind-boggling accomplishment , i.e. should someone else care to pay attention to it. In the meantime: Go riding Ric. Best
  12. HELLO & MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE.

SEASON'S GREETINGS TO YOU ALL:) Jamie
  13. A "New to Me" Corbin Seat

Hard as a brick, indeed, even after 40'000 miles. And too angular on the sides. Not the best saddle IMO. Certainly not the most ergonomic. But it looks good and the price you've been quoted softens it all.
  14. Happy birthday Mittsy ya old bastard

    Happy birthday, Sir
  15. Got it!

    Congratulations Dennis! Jamie
