    They do get hot but its better to be safe than sorry.

    Dunno about "positive", but they are identical except the name printed on them.

  5. leatherlykes rub on springs!

    I have a set of Leatherlykes on our VTX. The shocks are worn at the contact points and now the right bag has cracked where the mounting pins go thru. I won't be buying from them again.

  6. Gas

    What octane fuel are you using and do you get better performance by using higher octane? I'm asking because my Valkyrie actually runs as well on "lawnmower" grade gas.

  7. Oil Filter

    The filter is a dead ringer for the VTX filter. The Valk filter is longer and has a different pressure valve in it. I believe one is an 8 and the other an 11?

    I just bought an oil filter from the dealer. It looks exactly like my Honda filters. Is there a difference? :?:

    I plan to have everything checked over this week. Spoke with the dealer yesterday. He says it is osmolene (sp).

    Owl, you were right. I've never seen that before. I guess I'm just used to Honda.

    1st day after buying and have the same oil leak. Must be a Friday built bike. :cry:
