Anyone Else Lost a Heat Shield Yet?

I found 4 or 5 of mine were loose when i was working on the bike in the summer, i kept hearing a rattle and it was driving me nuts, I had an exhaust cement that i was using on my touring to seal up the space between the Jardine header and cat delete pipe, so tried that, took the round things...

    Vibration in 1st gear

does changing the foot pegs on the GT to the mid position allow for more or less lean angle, I still have the forward pegs on my GT but placed as far back as they can go and i have to keep changing the little nubbys on the bottom of the foot pegs every year, if i don't i would probably have the...

    What? ....got scammed

even a picture with a paper and the days date on it, also if they have the same part, or other parts, and they are different backgrounds, they are scamming, it is crazy right now, I'm selling a Honda civic, Harley wide glide, and couple of bass guitars, and the scams they come up with and...

    Vibration in 1st gear

That should smooth out around the 250 to 280km/h range, but the wind buffering will pick up a bit, and give yourself plenty of room to change lanes if needed

    R3 GT air filter change

for anyone who has changed an air filter on one of the new rockets, when you removed the 3 air intake pipes from the top of the aluminum section on the left side of the bike, if you looked inside of that, did you see oil in there, i'm trying to figure out if this is normal or not

    Engine cutting out under load

check the throttle body balancing, tps, and icsv first, make sure they are all good, that may at least take care of part of your issues, then move onto spark plugs and coil wires, while the tank is up, i think it is easier bringing up the gas tank on the roadster then it is on the touring

    Engine cutting out under load

the option in the tune ecu software for SAI is greyed out so i'm guessing that it may already have been turned off, but i have been trying to figure out where are all the parts are on the bike for it and what needs to be removed and what needs to be blocked off, so far i have only found the...

    Engine cutting out under load

Update, - coil leads were tight - TPS, ISCV, Throttle body readings were all over the place - TPS, reading are now .60 and .72 - Throttle bodies are all in sync - ran 12-min adaptation - still using Hanso tune as the jardine exhaust and ram air don't work well on stock tune, I have been using...

    Engine cutting out under load

I have been going through various posts, but haven't found anything to quite what I am experiencing, the exhaust leak at the header and and cat delete pipe is now fixed and sealed, no other exhaust leaks. My issue has been going on for just over a year, - 2010 RIII Touring - Jardine Exhaust -...

    Jardine exhaust leaking

i don't mind the decel pop, but it is getting really excessive lately, and some really loud backfiring, i'm afraid i'm going to go by a cop one day and it backfires, he freaks out, and i get shot. The two pipes are a close fit, and i can't get the cat delete pipe to compress enough to seal...

Why are people selling their Rockets?

I have the saddle bags on my GT, and the seat pack, i added the luggage rack on the back of it, and can strap a tour pack to it, I have done many log trips on that bike pretty comfortably. If i'm going to be gone for a few weeks, i'll box up clothes and send them by courier to where i'm going...

    Jardine exhaust leaking

is there anyone with a Jardine full exhaust that has had issues trying to seal the connection between the header and the cat delete pipe, I can't get this to seal no matter how hard i clamp it, using exhaust band clamps. I have been trying to avoid using the u-bolt type of clamps. The cat delete...

New 2.5L owner, things I hate about the motorcycle.

i was talking about your feet, for your hands, i found adding Grip Puppies helped with the small diameter throttle, i slides over the handles, provides cushioning, and makes the circumference bigger, and the heated grips still work

New 2.5L owner, things I hate about the motorcycle.

trying to figure out how to respond to this, i have done 16-hour rides on both my RIII Touring (with floor boards) and the same on my R3GT with the foot pegs moved back as far as they go (all the way forward for me was uncomfortable), and these were basically considered non stop trips ie: only...
