    If you have that stupid ignition switch on the side, I'd take the opportunity to bypass and remove it.

    Over a year after my last post in this thread, and my values range from 26.3 US MPG to 44.1 US MPG, with an average of 33.6 US MPG (40.4 UK MPG or 14.3 km/l).

    Visual of the location ahead of the battery. It's #5.

    First press (down) turns Cruise Control on. Second press (down) sets the speed and activates it. Mine increments/decrements by 1 MPH. Quick press or longer hold. It's not pressure-dependent.

    I swapped the mirrors from one side to the other to make it a bit narrower.

    That part hasn't changed since then, though I'm sure other things have. The Pan Am's switch is just a circular ring around the start button. It meets both requirements (counter-clockwise to turn off and on right handle-bar). I wouldn't be so annoyed with Triumph if they hadn't put it right in...
