    G'day from outback Western Australia

Sounds like a plan. The Whim Creek Pub ,roughly half way to Hedland from here , is in full swing again so it shouldn't be too hard getting a few together for a run through to Hedland. Off for lap of the Island last week of August , planning around 15000 kms over 5 weeks.

    G'day from outback Western Australia

Hi from one of your closer neighbours in Karratha .You will have no dramas for fuel. Did a run from here to Darwin 18 months ago with Sandfire to Roebuck Plains (near Broome) the longest stretch between fuel at 290 kms. I did carry a 5 litre plastic jerry in one saddle bag but didnt end up...

ABS Problem ( i may of Wrecked it )

Jack up your bike (rear wheel off ground) and spin the wheel to check rotor to sensor clearance . Any variation(bend) changing the gap will cause the abs light to stay on .There is a maximum gap which I cant remember . Just physically adjust the rotor where required .Hopefully that's all that's...

    Throttle position sensor issue

I don't think is a link issue ,all other test work fine -fan etc. and stepper motor does back right off linkage to check 0.5mm gap on first step of tps set up.

    Throttle position sensor issue

Yeah that was yesterdays attempt - backed cables off so no tension on linkages and lubed all moving bits ,all seem to move equally together. Throttle balance was very close -+10 across the 3 . After checking all I went through the TPS install process again no different . The TPS indicator light...

    Throttle position sensor issue

I did ask the old owner if he had software info/cable for it but he said he had taken it to the tuners workshop where it was tuned on the dyno and he didn't get any gear off the tuner .The previous owner did send dyno printouts - hp/trq & a/f ratios for economy tune and how to change through the...

    Throttle position sensor issue

I purchased the bike with the tuneboy maps already loaded and got the tuners details from the previous owner who also sent me the information as to what had been already done. I then contacted the the tuner to ask what I should purchase for future fault finding if required as I live in a remote...

    Throttle position sensor issue

To be honest I am pretty new to the whole tuning thing especially in regards to bikes ,I am a auto electrician but mostly earthmoving equipment side of things so comfortable using computers for fault finding Cat,Cummins, etc. I only have the latest Tune ECU and Lonelec cable as I wasn't planning...

    Throttle position sensor issue

The clutch diffinately does changed something , here is what I was sent by the tuner- The Hex map that was in the bike was close but had problems with the A/F at the top end. I have used Tuneboy and now you have three maps. Map 1 is full power Map 2 is Economy for cruising (only between 5%...

    New Roadster Owner

Yeah one other Rocket owner in town which I am yet to catch up with . Correct on the Reband -recently removed and wrapped - it gets hot enough up here so anything that keeps the heat away helps. Looking forward to my first Rocket road trip in about 3 weeks - Here to Darwin return via Broome...

    Throttle position sensor issue

Hi Warp, after checking everything I could find on Idle sticking(Idles fine but staying up with clutch engaged into street intersections and the like) I went the TPS replacement using Tune ECU - seemed simple enough. Now idles fine but runs like a pig (popping & farting) just off idle ,say 1-5%...

    New Roadster Owner

Hi all, had my Roadster for 3 months now and loving it -reminds a bit of my V-Max from 15 years ago . Living in Karratha ,North Western Australia I owned a few road/trail bikes before deciding to get another road bike , something for a bit of touring (and fun). Living where I do you need to...
