I was riding with a friend a few weeks ago when I spotted this scene for just an instant. We were on our way from Hillsboro, OR to Seattle, WA for a pizza. Yup, I said pizza. If you gotta ask you don't like to ride. I made a mental note that this river house was just a few miles down Washington Highway 4.
I returned with all my camera gear the next weekend at sunrise. The lighting was perfect so I set up my tripod & gear and fired away. The resulting photograph now hangs on my wall as a matted, framed work of art. I tried twice again to return to that same spot but weather fogged me in both times. I guess this is as good as it gets.

Fantastic pics as always Bob ! You do have a gift for photography.

I wonder if you would say that if you saw me standing there with my tripod & camera 18 inches from rush hour traffic. It was a tad nerve racking. I had to park the bike on a piece of shoulder as wide as a car. The walk on the edge of he road to take the shot was down right dangerous. The best shots always are. LOL

Very very scenic, as usual Bob. If I had your gift Id be in the post card business.
Thanks for the enlightenment.

Bet the folks that own that house would buy a print from you in a jiffy, Bob. Nice work!

I wouldn't have thought there was any traffic near that spot. I guess one never thinks about what's behind the photographer.......

Crazyman - There's a wonderful curvy, twisting road, highway 4, that follows the Columbia River all the way to the Pacific Ocean and highway 101. It's not only photogenic it's a great motorcycle ride. On the Oregon side its counterpart is Highway 30 to Astoria, OR. Check out a map to see the two roads I've mentioned.
