Yes I’ve ridden full days on the bike. That amounts to 250-300 miles in a day. We ride mountain roads so speeds and revs vary all day so there is no constant buzz. I love the bike and just accept that it has a feel. I’ve taken it out for a week at a time but I had my luggage carried around for me in a truck and trailer.Did you ever ride the bike long distances? Like at least a few hundred miles just stopping for gas?
That little bit of buzziness will probably impact your enjoyment.
Granted, im sure an R3 wouldn't be your first choice for long distance riding, just sayin.
need more pictures, that screen might be what I'm looking for, had the powerbronze adjustable, and the lower platsic broke in half about 4-months after installing, tried another lower plastic and that broke as well, bummer powerbronzes attitude was, sucks to be you bud, would prefer not to buy another windshield from them again if i don't have toI have also noticed the 4K buzzing, especially in the beginning of a new riding season, I live in southern Finland (5-6 months of), but it’s a minor thing and I don’t even notice it after some km:s.
As for the touring on a Rocket 3 GT I think the bike is not perhaps perfect but in my opinion a good touring bike.
I have 39 000km (24 000 miles) on the clock and I have made 4-5 trips to the northern Finland and Norway, the last trip last August to Norway with a longest day-trip of 1 060 km:s(660 miles). I have looked at other more touring suitable bikes but always been a little disappointed not in the power but the missing torque which is just “addictive” on the Rocket especially when overtaking “safety cars”.
So, no issues? Well, one unusual fault => a broken shaft seal, (missing 5mm:s piece) and the rear brake has been bleed 5 times which seems to be quite common on 2020 Rockets (perhaps the rear brake reservoir is to close the exhaust pipes) and the fuel tank could be 4-5 liters bigger.
Attached a picture of my bike to show what I have added to make it more “tour-able”, a Secdem screen, MRA spoiler, “chinese” wind deflectors, “home made leg wind deflectors” and Powerbronze hand guards, hugger and a mudguard extender. I also have tested the Powerblade screen but I have liked the Secdem “bubble” more.
I don't see anything out there and the Powerbronze (mid length) is the best looking other than the OEM tiny shield. I have had mine on for around a year and a half and it's still going strong. It's easy to overtighten. I tightened mine up over a four month period and now I don't touch it. I do get nervous at high speeds. I was on I-5 out of Stockton (trying to ride faster than the bullets flying around me) and was going faster than the posted speed and the top of the shield was bending waaaaay down. Made me nervous but it's still intact. I don't really trust that it won't go at anytime but oh well.need more pictures, that screen might be what I'm looking for, had the powerbronze adjustable, and the lower platsic broke in half about 4-months after installing, tried another lower plastic and that broke as well, bummer powerbronzes attitude was, sucks to be you bud, would prefer not to buy another windshield from them again if i don't have to
Oh, im sorry and im stupid.Yes I’ve ridden full days on the bike. That amounts to 250-300 miles in a day. We ride mountain roads so speeds and revs vary all day so there is no constant buzz. That looks very tourable.I have also noticed the 4K buzzing, especially in the beginning of a new riding season, I live in southern Finland (5-6 months of), but it’s a minor thing and I don’t even notice it after some km:s.

Well I’m just as stupid then.Oh, im sorry and im stupid.
When I read "R3" I was thinking Yamaha R3.
I figured that thing would be as buzzy as bees nest. lol
No, the "Rocket" 3 is nothing like that.
lol
That's my original avatar when I had my 2011 rocket.Well I’m just as stupid then.I just looked at your avatar more closely and see you have a first Gen Rocket III. I thought you were talking about the new Rockets commonly referred to as R3. I do have both and they buzz a little. I’ve never ridden the Yamaha. It’s all good bro.
That is one good looking motorcycle. That's my original avatar when I had my 2011 rocket.
Several years and several bikes later I have the new rocket.
I realize my avatar is confusing.
Here are two pictures of how I have installed the Secdem screen. It's not a very elegant setup but it works.need more pictures, that screen might be what I'm looking for, had the powerbronze adjustable, and the lower platsic broke in half about 4-months after installing, tried another lower plastic and that broke as well, bummer powerbronzes attitude was, sucks to be you bud, would prefer not to buy another windshield from them again if i don't have to
