tsuyaku jumbo strong

I put the Tsuyaku Coner bags on my 06 this year, bags a beautiful w/lots of room. The only thing I didn't like was how they mounted. All that is holding them on was the surface area of the 4 washers on the bolts, bags seemed to vibrate a bit on the road. when I took them off to bring her in for the 30K service the area around the washers looked like they were delaminating and was a matter of time, with the vibration, that they would pull through thus the bag falling off. Fabricated an aluminum plate (1/8 thk, painted black) to put across the brackets on the outside of the bag and additional plates for the inside to bolt thru to spread the load across a larger area. Results were that the bags are now MUCH more secure, rigid and don't vibrate at all. Bags are beautiful and fit the style and lines of the Roc.

mac how do you like the vinyl covered bags?cant decide on vinyl or black.
also which passenger floorboards are you using and did you have to alter the boards are they just replace pegs which is what i have now.

jake which passenger floorboards are you using?they look different than macs.was looking for some that would just replace rear pegs without adapters and a bunch of modifications.
both your bikes look great with the larger bags, and different styles...more choices.
thanks for help

Passenger boards

Mine are from a 1200 gold wing. I fabricated some brackets to make them a more rigid mount than the single bolt that holds the Triumph footrest.

That does look good. I swear those bags look good on every triumph I've seen them on. America/Speedy, Thunderbird, Rocket...they look good on all of them.

thanks phil thats something to consider, however i am running the TORS w/cat delete,so not sure if i would gain much other than a little better sound.whats your take on this?

I think that my setup won't work for you very easily, simply because you would have to fabricate your own cat system delete for the Mad Dogs or you'd have to reinstall the cat system, which they are designed to accommodate. Either way, too much work!

You still got the Maddogs ?
Thought ya sold them .

Three people committed to buy 'em and three had to back out for very valid reasons... priorities and such.

Weren't you one of the prospects?

If so, I hope that the matters that came up for you were resolved in as positive a manner as possible!

They'll be back up for sale soon, unless somebody's just got to have them now.

Actually the results turned out to be negative
Which turned out to be great news
It was a set back and quite a scare
However the outlook looks positive
And thank you for you understanding and heartfelt concern
It was greatly appreciated
It was a tuff time for my family
But so far so good

If you still have them in October I would love to buy them
but with what has happened in the past months it will take till then till I have any spare change to spend
With that in mind thank you for your understanding

I WOULD LOVE A SET !!!

Wow!!! That's fantastic news. I'm relieved for you and your family, both. We can discuss my holding the exhaust for you for a couple of months via PM.
