Thankfully a friend transported a tail tidy from the UK to South Africa for me :) Installed it yesterday and I'm happy; I think that now the bike looks like it should have in the first place.

Installing wasn't difficult, but it took some nerves and time (every bloody thread and nut has been smeared with Loctite), but the worst part was getting the undertray back into position. Wife saved me from taking a hammer and ...........

In summary a good buy, sturdy but light construction and could reuse original indicators & wires / plugs

Keep the original stripped down fender for rides where you might encounter rain or wet roads. You might like these washers to use on the fender mounting holes in the FD. They sort of match some of the OEM bits like the bar ends. Pardon Our Interruption...

Thanks; the tail tidy came with nice covers and screws for the 3 original mounting holes. Will receive a powerbronze rear hugger soon which, I hope, will be a bit larger (longer) than the original short one.
As for rain, I hate driving in the rain and try to avoid that if possible.
