Good afternoon
I might be moving to Canada sometime next year. So I was wondering since I love my R3 so much I might ship it there.
I have few questions: I understand I need to re register the bike since it's European import. Is it hard to do? Expensive ? Etc
Or is it just easier and cheaper to sell the bike here and buy another R3 roadster 2015 in Canada. Are those bikes popular in Canada? Are they expensive?
Appreciate any feedback
Thanks Arek
Seems like a lot of hassle to import a bike into Canada. Rockets are relatively inexpensive. Not the most popular bike around though. You can look them up on Kijiji or Autotrader Canada. There are not a lot of Triumph dealers here. Only 4 in Ontario and I've been to them all.
Sample prices from kijiji.ca for Rockets for sale in Ontario. Most are optimistic, some ridiculously so.
2006 46,000k $7500
2005 59,000 $5900
2014R 34,000k $13,000
2007 6,000k $11,000
2010T 85,000k $7800
2008 21,000k 9800
I'd also check out getting a full M license transfer which has to be done within 3 months of arrival or go through the pain of graduated licensing which takes 2 or 3 years.
