anyone else curious to see if some parts from the '10 thunderbird are interchangeable with the R3?
i, for one, would like to see if:
1- the rear LED taillight would work -- along with the front and rear turnsignals
and,
2- if the vertically mounted radiator would fit

avus9,

Another interesting thing would be
the gear ratio on the rear .
It might be either shorter , for better 1/4
et 's or taller for better top end more like having
that 6 th gear everyone hunts for :D

Also the TBird is belt drive. It would take alot of work to change the rear gear ratio on the Rocket.. :)

From what I've read though, they learned a lot from the Rocket and put all of those learnings into the T-Bird. Never mind that they could update the Rocket with this knowledge? Such as, no need for secondary butterflies, no need for a TPS, I believe there are two O2 sensors and each cylinder is caliberated for fuel indepentently, a real over drive 6th gear that brings the RPMs way down for cruising, etc..

I've never been a fan of rubber band drive. Reminds me of a Whizzer.

The rocket is the one bike I own that I never look for a higher gear in. I tend to ride in 4th most of the time with 5th for over 65. My other 2 bikes, I'm always looking for another gear. I like the R3 because the power is lineal. It's always there, waiting. Thats's the neat thing about the bike.

Flip, The R3 power seems lineal until you twist the throttle to full open. When you get to around 3K rpms, it the G's will smooth out the wrinkles in an old man's face (except for the grin lines).

no part #s out yet for the rear taillight
nor the clear front and rear indicators

soon as dealer has them, they're ordering them for me
will keep you posted
