The headlights would be much whiter and brighter with bypass relays that take the power directly from the battery rather than through the ignition switch. In fact, the switch is a weak spot on the R3's because of the lights.
The guy living over in Japan turns out a very high quality set up. I'll look back to find the link, it's something-beaver-something I think .... I'll shake off the mad-cow and try to remember.
Here it is .... look it over good, he makes different sets for different needs/preferences. I got the dual w/low beam shut off, that way I can turn the headlights off with a switch when in low beam. It helps when starting in the cold or after sitting along time, less drain on the battery. The biggest benefit of course is the ignition switch, keeps from melting the **** thing.
