I would be grateful for any guidance from our electrical wizards out there. I am looking to get as much info as possible on how to correctly work and use a digital multimeter.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Keith, I am no guru, I am very new to all of this however I have been doing lots of research, as I am doing some basic work on my bike. This site provide some good basic info, although it is not dedicated to the multimeter. It does cover the basics of troubleshooting your various electrical components with a multimeter.

Add a small straight pin to your tools. I don't recommend damaging the insulation on wire that is subject to gas/oil/soap and water etc, BUT once in a great while you really have to get into a sealed wire and a straight pin will hook you up without needing to cut and splice.
