Motorrola talkabout & throat mike

Anyone know if this is a workable option bike to bike and rider to pillion.

Throat Mike!! Just like 12 O,Clock High (Kawolski! Damage Control? Kawalski? Poor barstad copped it for the 100th time on TV! Its always poor "fn" Kawolski! Voyage to the bottom of the sea, Battle of Britain you name it Kawaolski Buys it!!! Still I digress!

Have seen bikes with a hand held radio mounted on bars, is this the same thing I,m asking about? Seems a nice way to screen out wind noise just like air combat noise, screams of dying sumariners, oops sorry here I go again!

I have the starcom and like it OK, but I really didn't research it. I bought it cause the dealer had it in stock and I was leaving for Laguna Seca in a week and needed something. Now he doesn't support it, so I am buying bits and pieces at the electronics supply to patch the worn cables, and I would probably buy something else next time. Point is I do have it, it does work, and the only weak link in its set up is the microphone. (And come to think of it, if it was not good enough why do I still use it? I have had it 3 years now!)
