I'm in Bar Harbor, but my bike's locked down till sometime probably early May. April rides are a possibility for the lesser but more versatile DR. Weekend rides are always a possibility, but I'm not making any plans to ride out of state until after the school year, currently set for June 15th. I expect we'll be in session until the 20th.

Just how many Mainers are we??

Not a Mainer or a Mianiac, but I do want to ride there soon. Went to a leisurely Navy school once out of Brunswick, they took us hiking and camping up near the Canadian border.

I'm down is Searsport, picking up my R3R on Feb 25th.

Going to the bash this year, but want to do other rides too, maybe us Mainers can meet up once in a while.

I'm western NY, but always up for a Maine ride. Fun fact: statistically, Maine is the state with the most serial killers.

I'm usually up for a ride but I have to get some work done in the next couple months and am not sure how long I will be "out of action". I should find out soon.

Depending on the weather and distance, it might be on one of my other bikes though.

Boog - Depending on when you took your "vacation" up to the mountain, I may have been your "host"...

You were there before I got there in 1994 but I knew some of the long-term guys you got to meet. You were there when the weather was still fairly decent. I remember some winter classes when the actual temperatures (not wind chill) got down to around minus 20 degrees F. A class was never cancelled due to weather since the school started in the 1960s but all kinds of extra safety precautions went into effect.

I have cousins in China,Canaan, Portland and Fryeburg Maine....95 to Rt 1 is a great ride,a lot of great places to eat and visit along the way. The ultimate ride would be to catch the Cat Boat in Portland to Yarmouth,Nova Scotia.I just talked with my cousin in Canaan they are snow bound and 2' more due this week at 12 below. June would be a good time to ride in Maine.

Riding the Cat to Nova Scotia skips 90+ % of the state. So I guess you're more interested in the Canadian side of the border? Pretty places east of us, good roads, nice people, no interstate, expensive gas.
