Instrument Panel Loose

Hi, I removed the instrument panel to alter the angle of the handlebars and now it won’t do up tight, it’s driving me mad, has anyone else ever removed and re fitted ?

It's supposed to be a little loose so you can adjust angle, I replaced flimsy counter sunk screws with regular hex head to get more tightening torque.

Stripped the hex immediately on one of mine

There is loose and there is loose, this is the latter , **** design

I removed and refitted mine once or twice without any issues. The fit is tight and can be tricky to get the holes aligned before inserting the screws.
